I'm going to see what they offer. Yes you ultimately get less value than trying to sell thing individually, that's the case for dealers of any kind, but you have the convenience factor.
I was thinking of more of the horror stories about getting a quote on something. Sending it in only to have the buyer saying that the quality is lower than seller was saying and offering lower than originally agreed upon and the seller being screwed by either taking it or hoping that the buyer sends it back.
Tf source seems to accept photos so I can just repurpose the eBay ones and try to avoid that. Locally there doesn't seem to be any options so I am taking that risk regardless
So I'm going to post a non-Transformer for the first time in this thread. At least I think it is the first for me... Anyways, in November Blizzard had this scavenger hunt thing that you looked for URLs or weapons and each weapon you found gave you a better chance to win. They were giving away D3 Switches, D3 for the Switch, and other stuff. Well at the end of the contest I got a mysterious email from them saying I won something, but need to verify my eligibility. Replied and been waiting since then. Last week a mysterious package showed up in the shipping tracking. It showed up today with no name on it other than "shipping". Opened it up and it was what I won (which was bigger than the pin I thought I won).
Holy crap, my mom and brother just sent me a PotP Nemesis Prime for a belated Christmas gift https://i.imgur.com/F7rozhO.jpg
This is the kind of thing I never really got as a kid so I was bit emotional when I opened the box

this is only tangentially toy related, but what do you guys use for lighting when taking photos? i need to get a new lamp anyway so maybe i can kill to stones with one bird
Think around that price ($79.99)? I saw that TF Source had it at that price at least. TFS has the rerelease for $99.99 if that matters any in your decision.

MP Cheetor's bot mode is pretty cool. His beast mode isn't very good due to the gappiness in the torso. This doesn't bother me much because I only keep mine displayed in bot mode.
1. A bit bigger than I expected
2. Transformation was a bit more fiddly than expected, certain pieces had way more moving parts than they probably need (robot legs), which made getting everything in the right place more difficult than it probably should have been.
3. The directions were tiny
4. Nothing in the directions about mounting the engine/cannon pieces in Dino mode.
5. No real way to store the swords on the model in Dino mode.
On the other hand, it looks like it belongs as a bonafide dinobot and it's a friggen plesiosaur.
I'm happy I bought it at $30. I would not have bought it at full price.

just opened mine as well. haven't transformed him yet but he seems to ahve trouble standing in bot mode due to like 6 pounds of stuff on his back.
seems like he can still strike some cool poses but needs to be sort of hunched. the plesiosaur head in bot mode doesnt seem to tab into place anywhere, just sort of rests on the back of his neck
edit: trying out some different setups for his heels to see what can be done
edit 2: the face scuplt makes me really happy. i'm not entirely sure why the shards (flippers?) in the tail can be removed. i feel like they are gonna fall out.
Nice! I have the same thoughts about my Triton as well. Neat looking but honestly they could have done better with the dino head in bot mode. At least make it tab in, but overall it is a neat robot. Think I'm going to put it into dino mode and leave it as is, but haven't transformed it yet. I think I saw that the swords that are included we're for a different Planet X dinobot, but forgot for which one. It is well worth the $30 for him. I will take photos of him if anyone is interested.
Good idea. I just did that and put Paddles in robot mode since I did not have the display room for Dinosaur mode. Makes him (her?) look like a super weapons specialist with the Lance (tail) and big cannons on the shoulders.
I also picked up Unique Toys Palm Collection No Minds and Unhappy from the eBay discount at the end of December. These are tiny little versions of Highbrow and Apeface. I actually love how tiny they are and Apeface is pretty decent. The plastic seems a bit odd, almost like a 3D printed material and not like the cast plastic.
Seriously though I actually do want to get this guy, I'm just debating whether I'll be able to afford an other pre-order, as I've just spent a crap ton of money on blu rays and figma Rem and Ram. And this was AFTER spent a lot on comics in November/December and as well as gifting.
I also still got to set aside money for my existing action figure pre-orders, the possible pre-order for MP Hound, and all the computer parts i'll be buying later this year.
EDIT: Fuck it. I have until September to change my mind. Pre-ordered.
Plus Astolfo was awesome (unlike Apocrypha's main leads Jeanne and Sieg  ) . Displaying him next to Mordred will also be neat, given they're literally opposites (kind/brash, cute/badass, cross-dress as girl/cross-dress as guy)
Just a heads up. Some people are saying that their CC info was stolen and they think it was when they bought through TFS. So if you do buy from them I recommend using PP instead.

A bit of older news but it hasn't been mentioned yet. Some Amazon database scanning in November revealed UPC and EAN numbers for Hasbro's Power Rangers Lightning Collection toy line. For those unfamiliar, Saban apparently ended their partnership with Bandai America last year so the Power Rangers Legacy toy line was discontinued(right before getting to the Zeo gen, typical). Hasbro will be producing the Power Rangers toy line in 2019, under the "Lightning Collection" brand.
Thanks to PowerRangerTalk and some database searching through Amazon has revealed the first listings for Hasbro’s Power Rangers toy line, including the highly anticipated Power Rangers Lightning Collection. The revealed figures are as follows:
– Mighty Morphin White Ranger
– Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger
– Dino Charge Red Ranger
– Lost Galaxy Magna Defender
– Mighty Morphin Lord Zedd
– SPD Shadow Ranger
– Beast Morphers Red Ranger
– Beast Morphers Gold Ranger
Another figure listed with the “PRG” (we assume “Power Rangers Generations“) label is simply titled “Ultrazord”, and we are currently unsure of what that could be. A couple of roleplay items are also listed.
The Power Rangers Lightning Collection was first revealed at Power Morphicon with the iconic Mighty Morphin White Ranger as the first reveal. A promise from the Hasbro team that the lineup would be multi-generational and non-linear, meaning any Ranger from any series could be included in any assortment. The figures are in the same style as Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends, will contain multiple accessories, have 20+ points of articulation, and the Power Rangers will come with civilian heads that you can swap on the figure.
Hasbro has been fairly hit or miss for me so far regarding their Transformers large combiner stuff the last few years(loved CW/TR Trypticon, Fortress Maximus, Devastator - hated CW Menasor, Bruticus) so I'm not sure what to make of it quite yet, particularly as they appear to primarily be focusing on toys of the rangers before any of the giant robots. I'm hopeful for finally getting a Super Zeo Megazord toy design newer than 20 years old, though.

If they can turn the past brick combiners into something with good articulation and potability then I'll be very interested.
If it ends up being something like SOC Dragonzord in Battle mode then nope!
I always like the designs of the zords in the show but the fact that the toys were bricks put me off getting them (stopped after white thunderzord)
I'd love a Astro Megazord with good possibility though.
For me I think it would depend on the Megazord. Thunder Megazord was not a graceful Megazord to begin with, so I'm fine if it's a bit unwieldy - the charm was more in design appearance. If Pyramidas is built as anything less than a Fortress Maximus I'll be severely disappointed.
Botbots are definitely not my thing, but the little one loves them and will periodically ask for me to get them out so she can play robots with daddy.
It's definitely a "play with an adult supervision" thing though. She already broke one by trying to force a piece. Luckily it was duplicated in another package.
some other random stuff i'm trying to work on. not sure whether i like the head or hand in focus more. i tried a bunch where he was holding/eating/stomping/smashing other figures but i can't find an angle i like yet
i edited in the figure. it's apocalypse. i'm not a fan of the "battle damaged" version. but it has grown on me. i think the original paint job is better though.
Oh man that looks really awesome. Can you take a picture of the full guy? I always wanted to check that guy out but never could pull the trigger on him back then. Now, maybe...

Figma Rider of Black (FATE/APOCRYPHA) is available for preorder. After Mordred (Saber of Red), they were probably the best character of that show.
However...
