We should find out the next raid/collab before the Folka banner goes away. I would hold off until then. No need to burn resources immediately for Folka. We have no content currently or in the near future that requires her. I saw/heard this mentioned either on reddit or YouTube, but Folka is a long term investment.
That fact that she’ll be in the pool is enough for me to hold off.
As a newish comer and lacking a healing unit, I will be spending heavy Lapis to get 2 or more of Folka. Can't wait for this Friday!
Good luck! She's still a really good healer at 6*, so don't feel too defeated if you only manage to pull one of her. Most top tier healers are sufficient at 6* and get extra tools at 7*.
Kind of wish Lenneth chained with DR or something. She looks cool as hell, but only chains with herself.
Lenneth actually chains with the piledriver family, so she can chain with both Aileens, helmless Kain, Lara Croft, and some others.
Well...if you're running a DW build she can chain. If running a TDH build she can only partially chain with the Piledriver family, since her T-Ability can't use the same ability more than once a turn.
Any word on when the enhancement unit slots are coming?
[edit] By which I mean, is it today or tomorrow? I need to know if I can use my raid coins. The extra slots could allow me to bank my maxed cactuars.
I would not count on it. Maintenance is tonight and it's a "short" maintenance - which probably means no QoL updates. I think that will probably be announced next week when we finally get the January FFBE Updates video.
Looks like next collab might be a Star Ocean re-run.
Probably a raid, which pushes Xenogears and SoM back.
I've reached a point where I'm trying to decide what direction to go with my TMR farm. I've been farming 5* base unit TMRs for a while now trying to get them ready for 7*. Are there any recent 3* or 4* units with worthwhile TMRs? I know Macmedi has a good 40% ATK with some status immunity and Deuce has a 40% MAG with 50% fire resist. I have Lotti in the farm team already for her robe (which is BiS for 7* mages). Anyone else I'm missing?
One of the 4* units from this next batch (Yubel?) has a 40% ATK plus Plant Killer materia, which could be rather useful. Leopold has essentially Patriotic Recall but Wind, which could also be rather useful.
Good ideas. Thanks! I'm considering putting Jiraiya in the farm team so I can get another 30% ATK/MAG hybrid accessory. My 2x RoL are always tied up on my evade tank.
edit: I also forgot about Summer Luka's Chic Hat with good stats and 50% fire resist. More good options!
In the US the justice department has re-interpetred a 2011 ruling to state that all online gambling is illegal. There has been a 90 day hold placed on enforcement to allow online gambling sites to change their operations.
Now I guess it just depends on whether or not the US sees Gacha/loot boxes as gambling. We may be in the enddays.

I like the resources raids give but holy shit the management after.

I'll miss this game, but it'll be a huge relief. There have been times when I got really engrossed in a book or there's real life shit going on and I forget that FFBE exists. And when I remember, it's this sinking feeling of "Now I have to deal with this shit again."
Just give me a few days to use all my tickets and lapis, and then sell every unit I own, and I'll be content.
[edit] And god I hope this shuts down those CS:GO weapon skin websites.

I'll miss having it as something I can do at all hours of the night/morning while rocking a baby back to sleep. I'm sure I'll find something else to fill that void (and the baby will hopefully start sleeping through the night annnnnnny day now) but there's something soothing about just running through some raid orbs/NRG before trying to fall back asleep.

Idle Heroes is a thing, apparently, from the ads I have seen from the rewards wheel!
If you read the context, this sounds like it is targeted specifically at casinos and online gambling from that aspect. There was no mention of how this relates to video games, but it is a possibility in the future. I think the video game industry would fight any attempt to classify gacha games as gambling. I don't anticipate any impact on FFBE in the near-term. It could be years before anything happens to video games as a result of this ruling.
Oh yeah, it's probably going to amount to nothing. I don't mean to be a doomsayer (despite joking that we may be in the end-days).
I don't know if gacha/lootboxes will be classified as gambling in the US, but there's always a possibility. The Federal Trade Commission is actively investigating whether lootboxes in games are gambling (I think mostly because of the attention EA brought to lootboxes with their Star Wars lootbox simulator), but I don't know when they're expected to make a decision, or if a decision has already been made. The US could either leave things as is, or we could go the way of Belgium and classify gacha/lootboxes as gambling. Time will tell.
Always seemed weird how “pay money for chance to get something” is hard for folks to understand as gambling. In the case of video games it would be like casinos giving you a penny back on each pull of $1. Always seems pretty cut and dry to me.

What seems cut and dry as gambling and what legally counts as gambling can, at times, be ridiculously different.
I've had to read some legalese for my job (mostly for giving credit for when I've used resources that require specific attribution in publication) and every time I do it takes a couple days off of my lifespan.

What do you think casino rewards programs are? "Earn X points and get a free meal!" "Earn Y points and get a free 1-night stay!"

Of course it's gambling. The US won't regulate it though; we're too pro-corporation.
EDIT: Maybe I should clarify. In the US there is generally this attitude that certain obvious things are gambling (casinos, sports betting) and that's icky so it's not legal except in certain circumstances. Other things are not considered gambling and there's no appetite for considering them as such because that would mean they would be shunned.

Vanille has a higher KO percentage at base LB level and takes fewer crysts versus Cait Sith, FWIW.
I ran across one team this week that had three Cait Siths, a Lilith, and a clever tagline that I can’t remember.
Edit: I remember, it was:
“Got Safety Bit?”
I pulled Vincent, will use the two coming 50% Moogles on his TMR.
