Yeah really this era of media is everyone chasing something another medium is better suited for. Movies want the serialization and crossover-potential of television, television wants the scale and "prestige" of cinema, and video games want both of these things while failing to ever even pursue either of them on more than a superficial level.
And this wouldn't necessarily even be a bad thing if they were respectively trying to incorporate these concepts into the structures and processes that are their natural strengths, but by and large they aren't doing that and we end up with so many "flawed but with potential" products that suffer from an identity crisis.
I think this is all very true, though I think I see it as growing pains as these mediums necessarily evolve. It’s interesting to watch these trends develop.
Yeah, if you don't dig it after halfway through the first episode (like me!) then give it time
If you're three in, then you probably won't dig the rest because you've got an idea of how the writing and pacing are gonna work and that's not gonna change

Yeah that's the upside of an identity crisis--it's possible to come out the other side as something better.

Some people are reading the final scene as the realities merging again because of both outfit changes being present in the last shot. I'd have to watch it again, I thought that was just a stylistic choice. That said, it's not something I want definitively answered, a dash of ambiguity is nice.

Russian Doll was so incredibly good.
It really just played like a good three hour forty five minute movie.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!
A new Muppets series is being made for Disney+, starring Josh Gad and set in the 80s. It features the gang searching for Rowlf who got lost while they were on tour.

Yeah I know he should have stuck with the group, but look, it's easy to get distracted, especially in a new city.

Im just upset I'm gonna sign up for another streaming service
Based on earnings calls and other things I’m probably not supposed to go into detail, Disney actually wants to go toe-to-toe with Netflix. This isn’t a token ‘we want to have a streaming service because everyone else has one’ like Warner Bros.

Wait. is the new Muppet show chronologically set during the original Muppet Show run, like they are on tour in between seasons?
Honestly most of the original content they've announced has sold the service
Admittedly I am basically their target audience but The Mandalorian, Loki, The Muppets, Scarlet Witch and Vision, Cassian Andor, High Fidelity, Falcon/Winter Soldier, Monsters Inc, etc.
That's a lot of shows I would wanna watch

Yeah, it gets more and more likely I dump Netflix for Disney, if you gave me Hulu to, I doubt I would even question the decision.
Inside of a dog...it's too dark to read.

Yeah I would dump Netflix for Disney+Hulu, sure.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
The only thing keeping me on Netflix are:
-- FRIENDS
-- BoJack Horseman
-- Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
I'd be easy for me to drop it after 2019.
I am one of those shlubs who still loves Stranger Things and wants to see how it wraps up, I will probably be out after that.

Does Hulu have access to Funimation's library now? Is that a thing?

I watch enough of their original programming that it's worth keeping around and they are constantly trying new shit so chances are they will have some new stuff I want to watch at any given point

Oh, I forgot Castlevania.
So, I could probably get my Netflix need in a one month subscription.

So many actors in this just look like they are having so much fun.
I never read the books, but I'm surprised the final book is just getting one episode instead of two episodes like all the other books.

i liked that show a lot and I've had the urge to re-watch it at various times over the years, and it is literally not available anywhere.
Not even on DVD (beyond Season 1).
It has vanished from this earth.
Chris Parnell, Jeremy Sisto and Alan Tudyk were hilarious together!

The whole cross-border rights thing is weird and why Canadian Netflix is so anemic, though the original content has padded it out a bit
