like the Prince Ali parade shot, the shot of Aladdin on the pillar in the Cave of Wonders, and the Will Smith genie effects seriously look like 90s made for tv movie level.
I know people deeply love Farscape, and I wish i could put myself in whatever headspace I needed to be to get there
but my god every time ive watched it it feels like the fake sci fi show theyd be obsessed with in big bang or something
it's very hit or miss even when it is good, and the first season is mostly abysmal, but every now and again it just works in this way that just has never been replicated.

a lot like Doctor Who, huh?
no
farscape had the good graciousness to end.
The last scene in peacekeeper wars is one of my favorite things.

The wildest casting choice in Stargate is making one of your special forces soldiers French Stewart.
He shows up years later in Stargate Universe as a different character. Same thing with Richard Kind showing up as a different character in Stargate Atlantis.
Just watched Thunder Road. The short is a favourite of mine, and I love a lot of Jim Cummings’ other shorts, but the feature didn’t blow me away. A really great central performance, and the big scenes that really need to work all land, but it didn’t quite add up to me. Still, I’m looking forward to whatever he makes next, because when he’s on, he’s really on.
If you haven’t seen the short, I really recommend it. It’s basically a perfect movie.
i am in a weird position in that i hope aladdin doesn't bomb, despite all of the everything about it because i just know the take away will be blaming a middle eastern cast

Didn't they noteably brown face some of their cast though?
Preacher on
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
It's utterly uncool, the article I read it was mostly stunt-people and animal specialists. Disney could have found people they wanted on that side of the camera, but didn't. It's all a bunch of bullshit.
I was just thinking about Happy Death Day, what with the new one coming out soon. The structure of that flick lets it do a really cool, really clever thing
A character gets to go from being a "first dead in a slasher" archetype to a final girl. That's pretty neat.

i was thinking i hope it did because maybe disney would pump the breaks on these god awful live action remakes but... honestly i know that won't happen and you're right they probably will blame that.

bad all around i guess.
Even if Aladdin flops, that Lion King remake is going to make all the money in the world.

Jessica Rothe is so goddamn good in Happy Death Day

Farscape isn't popular enough to be referenced on Big Bang Theory.
I don't watch Big Bang but have they referenced: Non racist Buck Rogers? 40k? Firefly? Starship troopers? Conan? Many others since I don't feel like vaguely going on
Farscape is Sheldon's favorite tv show of all time. Numerous episodes revolve around his quest for merch from the show. In fact, I believe most of America knows Farscape only through the lens of the hit sitcom, the Big Bang Theory.

I keep forgetting about this, which is fucked up in and of itself!

Fuck me, that looks bad.
The last scene in peacekeeper wars is one of my favorite things.
Jungle Book is one of my favorite Disney movies and I thought the live action version was great!
Aladdin is one of my favorites too though and yikes.
Even without the brownface, Aladdin looks dire. I wonder if they are using unfinished effects for whatever reason.

I would like very much for this movie to actually be good
but yes The Rock in Mummy Returns is exactly where my mind went during that shot
He looks like he’s made of Stretch Armstrong flesh

Yeah sure, I guess I'll watch another bad monster fish movie. It can't be any worse than Sharkenstein.
It has some decent action scenes smashed in amongst the most 00s garbage of a story.
Movie, you had one job. Mads as Big Boss.
HOW DID YOU SCREW THAT UP?

I actually think it'd go the opposite way.
