I am 99% sure his healing factor has nothing to do with repressing his trauma, it was the experiments and mind-wipes Weapon X did to him

Can wolverine get addicted to video games or pornography? Marvel get back at me I got a Wolvie story to tell and it only uses the word cuck once and not derisively.
Those are a purely psychological addiction, rather than a chemical one, so yes, absolutely. Clearly psychological addiction has an effect on him - that's why he still maintains the oral fixation that was fostered by decades of smoking.
Ho.. how does this oral fixation manifest?
pack of bubblicious a day
nah dude
it's all about that bubble tape
six feet of bubblegum
that bub’s bigger than logan, bub!!

I think what has happened is he has had extensive brain damage repaired by the healing factor, which resulted in significant memory loss, because the factor creates a blank slate when it repairs the memory parts of his brain.
Logan's healing factor hasn't caused him to forget traumatic memories, he just represses that shit and lies about it and says its his healing factor because he's too poisoned by toxic masculinity to admit that he has any issues
In The Pulse, Wolverine cried and actively yelled about feeling violated by a mind wipe recently done to him in Secret War (no, not that one). People commonly use that sequence as a punchline. So can you blame him?

I thought Wolverine's whole thing was similar to Cap when it came to drinking. He's still susceptible to alcohol and its effects - it just takes a shit load of booze for him to feel it. Hence why he drinks like it's going out of style.
The fact that his healing factor is so often dampened/on the fritz/supercharged/lol I came back from a drop of blood, it'd make my eyes cross to try to quantify how effective it is against alcohol.
Apparently WotR has each of the armies of Malekith's forces A) winning and claiming a continent for themselves with what heroes are left dividing into teams to try and rebel against the new overlords
This is the team for North America, which is now New Jotunheim
I like that the others are all borrowing fancy Asgardian weapons and spider-man just goes "ooh neat hat"
Oh hey, turns out
Peter has a whole DND party of fantasy weirdos he is going to lead
You know that he is absolutely thrilled to get to live out the tabletop campaign he has never had the time or friends to play

Sorry was referring to wolverine's healing factor.
But yeah sorry that sucks.
Oh.
Yeah, painkillers don’t work on him.
I recall a story from his solo title in the 90's in his solo title where I think Tiger Shark drugged him? It didn't last long, but a whole boat load of drugs will keep him dopes up for a bit. It's not zero sum.

Yeah, in the 90s Cyber was always poisoning him and making him trip out too.

If his healing factor removes toxins from his systems, why is Wolverine's greatest fear scorpions?

Thor was a lot this week, and Jason Aaron decided to remind everyone just how heavy he can get.
It is all from Odin's perspective, with his inner monologue shedding a light on just how self-destructive and self-loathing he is. Its the culmination of the 8 year long character arc Aaron has had with Odin where he has been, essentially, walking toxic masculinity with brief moments of hope immediately forgotten when he opens his mouth.
Odin then tries to goad Thor into killing him, but Thor stops and says that Odin is no father of his and never will be again.
The issue ends with Odin contactimg Tony Stark, having decided to get sober for the first time in existence.
"I want to be remembered simply as a father. To the greatest god that ever lived. Even if all I truly taught the boy...
...was to be better than me."
Also Mike Del Mundo having a mostly interrupted stretch on this book is just the best, that man is an art monster and such a perfect fit for Thor.

Kinda reminds me a little of this one moment from Everyone Loves Raymond where Ray, his brother and dad are trying to get their stories straight about therapy they're pretending to go to and actually touch upon something meaningful for a brief minute.

I'm pretty sure it was an adamantium bullet fired on Three Mile Island.
*wink
Aren't they all?
Bendis wrote him as being literally unable to get drunk
Others have had him have a normal tolerance
Others have him require Hercules-level quantities of booze to get buzzed
It all varies

He doesn't like German power ballad laden hair metal?
He probably just doesn't like a horde of arachnids crawling over him.
The problem wasn't that he was being stung by scorpions, but that he was covered in them.

haha, I realized the pun in the post as I was typing it, but I completely forgot about the avatar
(now I kind of want Aaron to write an interaction between Bill and Odin in the current state of things)
That's fair, and I'll take it into consideration
That would feel really gross
still not a big fan of being covered in 'em

Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
Turns out Rocket and Hercules are not new BFFs
Because it looks like Rocket and Hulk will be instead
That final bit is an MCU gag I am happy to have continue in the comics
Also, Clint is in the most THIS LOOKS BAD situation ever, sucks for you buddy
i don't like this new development
Bill Mantlo's biggest created character is now friends with Hulk
how dare you use bill mantlo against me
If he tries to change to his living self, he gets stuck as a blonde white guy.
