Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.

Ours' favourite joke is currently:
Knock knock
Who's there?
Europe
Europe who?
No, you're a poo!
It's hilarious the first, I'd say, 3-5 times
Congratulations! Hope mom is doing well too!

Yeah, Niko loves his rainbow dress especially.
I actually prefer the kids use makeup sometimes over... marker, which is what both kids used last night to decorate their bodies. Niko still has bright blue circles all over his legs!
Jack has pink eye, a scratched cornea (has to wear an eye patch.... Mallory called him a pirate when she saw him lol), and has a bad cough
Mallory has double ear infection, sore throat, pink eye, and croup
My wife has a sore throat, cough, and fever
And I, a week after getting over the flu, have a sore throat and a really nasty cough

Somebody I know has just named their baby Xander. It feels very odd to not give the baby the full name and then use a shortened version. Going straight to short form rubs me the wrong way for some reason
She even latched for a good 30 minutes on the 2nd go so mom is super happy. Think we’re staying on more night.
Today, on her 3rd birthday, my sweet girl has uttered out those words that every parent at least slightly fears,
"But why?"

What's the full version of that?
Alexander, probably.

With his sister one of says "hey guess what she did today?" and the other is like "shit don't even tell me I'll just go tape all the batteries to the ceiling and hopefully she won't figure out how to get them down right away."

Owen (almost 4), who clearly lives in some kind of dadaesque reality that overlaps ours in some way followed up with "two words, 'p' 'n' ", which after me and William had completely exhausted any possibility was declared to be "horse aeroplane".
We just played LEGO together for 3 hours straight, using just basic blocks and me pulling up PDF build instructions from their website, showing him each step one at a time and letting him figure out what pieces needed to be added where. We got him that classic box as well as a Jurassic World set last Christmas, and while he worked with me putting the set together just fine over the holidays, he didn't show an interest in the generic LEGO experience of free building until very recently.
His favourite build today was this friggin toaster, of all things. He mixed in some darker browns in the toast though "so it has peanut butter, daddy":
I feel you. Our son has had the same bug for 2 weeks now. We thought he kicked it and was fine all week, then he randomly puked late last night and this morning. No fever, regular energy, just randomly has a sore stomach and needs to puke. And diarrhea.
Apparently that's going around.

Humor can be dissected, as a frog can, but it dies in the process.

Maybe you can send her to work in your place?

so honestly I think I'm going to let her do what she wants and hope for the best.
Quick feed for us and then her, then a bit of sleep. She’s been pretty good.
They did mention she looks at tad yellow, but when they checked her levels they were perfect so it’s something for us to just watch. Seems like the baby jaundice is pretty common but everything is perfect otherwise
Anya displays more adhd traits every day. Often it’s things like I’ll send her upstairs to retrieve a single item, and ten minutes later @Moriveth will have to retrieve her from the bathroom where she’s half-naked and singing.
Last night I started her shower and called her to get in it. Five minutes later she’s not in the shower but is instead prancing around in a trash-bag dress. Mori brought scented trash bags for our cat litter and she loved the smell so much she decided she had to wear it.
I'm holding on for the inevitable realization by him that he can write bad things too.

you put a plate of it down and they eat it and then you get it every week for the rest of your life. my 2 year old and 4 year old both LOVE it.
edit - it probably helps i live in Vancouver so sushi is EXTREMELY PREVALENT here.
edit 2 - freaking Julia, who is now 2, will just eat a big ol plate of salmon sashimi and then get real mad if we have no left but then she notices there is still some on mommy or daddy's plate. spoiled ass kid.
I turned orange and my mom thought I had jaundice and the doctor was like "nah this mafck just loves carrots, feed him less carrots, it'll go away"
On the 1st I take my daughter to Amalie Arena to skate with Thunderbug. Then Saturday the 2nd we get to see them play Ottawa. And the best part for daddy? We get a meet and greet with the players. All for $75 Kids Club membership. She already got a ton of swag and a signed mini stick from Point.

I hope it's OK, but I can't do much.
Also my uncle died last night and I haven't processed that yet either.
Jesus. I'm sorry to hear all that Plufim. If you need anything at all, don't be afraid to ask.
