I am also rewatching Mario Maker. I just watched the one where they play the top rated levels in the world and Arin complains the whole time even when a level is clever and interesting. There's one where green = go/good and red = stop/bad and Arin is like "it's just nonsense!"
Otherwise I am enjoying rewatching the series.

Ross is such a motherfucker in the way that he designs levels to create incalcuable suffering while leaving a backdoor so he doesn't have to himself in order to upload it. True villainy.
I'm surprised they went for that Mario Maker bet without a "and someone who we trust has to vet your levels, Ross, to make sure you didn't cheat to upload them" rider.

So bad news for anyone who wanted to see the finale of Skyward Sword; YouTube corrupted the data so they can't save a VOD on that end. And by chance they didn't set up a backup recording system on their end so the Grumps don't have it either. Last I saw they're asking if anyone independently recorded a copy as it streamed.
That said it wasn't that fun, because Arin was very not into it and angry, and not in the usual fun way.

Ross is basically going to be making levels and then having Jirard the Finishist complete them for uploads
Jirard’s levels were a close second to Ross’ in deviousness (he made the one where Joke Yoda happened) so don’t feel too bad for him

Honestly I kinda hate that Ross has other people beat his levels to get by the upload check. I'd rather see a distinction of levels everyone makes and can beat themselves vs the levels they collaborate on. In the case of the latter I'm down with one person being able to beat it, on account of it being a group effort.
At least Ross levels aren't like, the pinnacle of achievement and skill like some of the Kaizo Mario style levels that require frame-perfect timing and pixel-perfect positioning.
Ross levels are challenging in their own right, but still accessible and possible. Sometimes with a great more deal of luck than skill.

Joke Yoda is a fantastic character. Although my enjoyment was admittedly encouraged by the fact that it was a rare instance of Salty Dan.
