I've been to Waffle House stone sober in broad daylight many a time and it's still great

It's great road trip food if you're driving through the south

We used to go there as a kid a lot and if I wasn’t getting a waffle and hash browns I used to be all about the waffle sandwich (which was just a ham and cheese sandwich pressed in the waffle maker).

Smollett was supported by his family in the courtroom. During the hearing, prosecutors read text messages between him and the brothers, who he allegedly paid to attack him late last month. According to CNN, Smollett shook his head as prosecutors read the texts, which reportedly revealed he met up with the brothers in the weeks before the attack to give them $100 to pay for supplies, including red hats, masks, and rope. Phone records also reportedly showed the actor called his alleged attackers before and after his attack.

Prosecutors detailed Smollett relationship with his alleged attackers, explaining the actor knew one of the brothers for years. They also alleged that the brothers previously supplied street drugs to Smollett.

he paid for the fucking supplies

    this was ... startlingly incompetent.

someone on twitter pointed out that while this will undoubtedly make things harder for real victims, the lesson we should be taking away is that fakes are quickly found out, so we lose nothing by believing the victims. I wish I had confidence that narrative will gain traction.

All threads eventually converge toward the bad food thread. That's the secret reason the mods lock threads after a hundred pages, because otherwise this forum would have collapsed into a singularity of cheese and grease about a decade ago.

CW finally ordered a pilot for the Lost Boys show they developed with Rob Thomas in 2016. Thomas is busy with the Hulu Veronica Mars, so this will be redeveloped by writer Heather Mitchell (Scandal, Grey's Anatomy)

After their dad's sudden death, two bros move to Santa Carla with their mom, who hopes to start fresh in the town she grew up in. But the bros find themselves drawn deeper into the seductive world of Santa Carla's eternally beautiful youthful undead

Pilot will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight)

Cast so far includes Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), Kiele Sanchez (Kingdom), Medalion Rahimi, and Dakota Shapiro

The first episode of Desus & Mero's new show on Showtime went up tonight and it's good! It definitely feels like if their old show had a budget, and that's not a complaint. Some of the stuff felt a bit more awkward, like, it's weird to see the, "talking over video clips" format with a live studio audience, and the sketch definitely felt like it's their first sketch. It's stuff that definitely feels like they'll get more comfortable with it over time

They're still weirdly good at interviews, and they did real well with the on-location stuff. It's mostly just good to have them back on TV

Waffle House is great and country ham is the best meat possible.

I'm almost finished with umbrella academy and there's so much I want to watch. Maybe Ozark season 2 next?

I'm enjoying Discovery S2 quite a bit, but I feel like they need to do something about the profound opening monologues. I appreciate that they're not just copying officer logs from vintage Trek, but I could do with some more down to earth thoughts.

Saru had one this week. I appreciated the sentiment behind it, but starting off with "We all come from somewhere" *7 second pause* knocked me right out of my immersion.

However I will accept them if they come from the secondary bridge crew. What do Robot Lady or Communications Dude think about between missions, Disco? I genuinely would like to know.

I kinda like them. Bit of a different spin on the Captain's logs. But yeah, I wish the line delivery was more log-like.

Agreed on the secondary bridge crew though!

I wish I liked Waffle House. It should be my favorite restaurant

But I was on a road trip through the Texas panhandle and we were laid up for like three days because I got horrific food poisoning from a nearby Waffle House

And now my insides are instinctively frightened of the Waffle House
