    I was not a fan of Bohemian Rhapsody but Malek did give a great performance. I didn't see Green Book but the insistence from Dr.Shirley's family that the movie is grossly inaccurate made me not want to see it. Black Klansman was really good though and I was hoping it would win.

    I wish Black Panther would have won Best Picture because there wasn't a clear favorite and it was easily the biggest theatrical event domestically in 2018.

    I am no expert on editing. But I've seen my share of films and thats....a lot of hard cuts.

    I wouldn’t say I’m an expert, but I am literally a professional editor (primarily commercials) and... that’s either terrible editing, or desperately trying to cover some mistake with the footage.

    Like maybe they really fucked up on the day and that’s just a patch job. Either way it’s nauseating.

    This may just be some rumor going around (I read it on a forum which cited a person on another forum), but I'm going to be another link in the chain because it makes a little sense.

    Apparently it may have been contractually obligated that all members of the band get equal screen time. Which doesn't forgive the terrible cuts (just do longer shots, damnit), but WOULD explain why there's so many reaction shots.
