I think we can all agree, that with Shiva, she's got the default win in this one, and requires no vote.

Gentleman Ghost did recently fuck the JSA to new levels, and was only stopped because Stargirl (surprisingly) still had an intact hymen and Wildcat's lineage is traced to royal english blood.

He'd swarm the canyon with thousands of ghosts to do the dirty work for him.

So, unless Absorbing Man has a royal family history, or wasn't popular in highschool, he's beat. Can't touch him.

Absorbing Man has been in prison...he's no virgin...

You forgot his marriage to Titania.

Man, FUCK. They would have HAD to be the worst neighbors imaginable...

Two people with super strength, nigh-invulnerablility, near unlimited stamina, fucking, CONSTANTLY.

All breaking through walls and shit, ruining your goddamn fish and chips...

Can we get an official ruling on Gentleman Ghost's "ghost summoning" powers? The official profile (that I thought we were supposed to base decisions on) doesn't mention anything about it. It's kind of important, because if all this guy can do is turn invisible, shoot old guns, and make things cold, AM would smash his face in.

    He turns incorporeal too.

Really Ghost should be able to take him just because Absorbing Man is a complete moron.

Marvel really does have a lot of villians who aren't very bright.

But if he just stayed incorporeal the whole fight, wouldn't that be the same as a forfeit? I'm saying without the debated ghost summoning powers, he can't do anything to hurt Absorbing Man.

How is it debated? It's one of his abilities. Just because someone didn't update the sidebar on Wiki doesn't mean he can't do it.

They're not debated, he has them, he's used them to kick the asses of the JSA. Only you question his ability to do so by the internet variant of covering your ears and going "LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA!"

That's like saying Sandman forfeits because he's contantly sand.

And the powers aren't debated, he has them, he's quite clearly used them.

Well, in the recent JSA arc, it was as if you couldn't hurt him but he could hurt you.

As for the ghost summoning, he did it in JSA, but the ghosts he suommoned weren't near as powerful as him.

I'm not debating whether he HAS them or not. I was under the impression that for the purposes of this contest, we were only allowed to consider the character version/power set listed by Doom in the match-up post. Going by that, Ghost gets his ass beat as soon as he tries to fight.

I think that would depend if as a Ghost you're completely intangible or are you intanglible like Mist is intangible. If G. Ghost is completely intanglible then AM would have a hard time absorbing him if he can't touch him.

And ghosts don't? What about the chill you're supposed to feel when you go through one? Why wouldn't that be enough to constitute physical contact for A-Man if he can turn into helium?

That being said, wouldn't turning into a ghost kill Absorbing Man?

Yeah, maybe Gentleman Ghost goes intangible and says that the only way to hurt him is by becoming a ghost.

Ghosts can go through walls. Helium can't. Therefore, ghosts are more intangible than Helium, which is tangible, because you can touch it. You still touch atoms of it floating around. No such thing with ghosts.

EDIT: And even if Absorbing Man were able to touch Gentleman Ghost, which he isn't, he wouldn't be able to turn into a ghost any more than he's able to turn into a lizard by touching one.

Hmmmm.... I think Mastermind could pull it out, though it'd be much more helpful if he could use his illusions on Purple as well. Granted, Purple would be able to use his abilities on Jason as well, though he'd have to get through his illusions first.

Fuck Mastermind, Purple man is too good to be defeated by that fucker. Purple man could override ANY illusion Mastermind could create, he can get people to do ANYTHING, he COMMANDS people to do what he wants. Mastermind can only change what they see and hope for the best.

As long as soldiers are around, Mastermind can always make it so they're shooting at Purple, no matter what orders Purple is trying to give. Killing all the soldiers and trying it hand to hand is Purple only real chance, and that's still no better than 50/50.
