WB: “Gotham, you get one final season to wrap things up.”

Gotham: “Great! We can end it with Bruce finally becoming Batman.”

WB: “Oh, that’s right. You can’t use Batman.”

I guess I should post that that's literally what's happening.

But maybe there's hope we can see Batman?

"It allowed for creativity on our end" by creating original story lines instead of falling back on the same old tropes by creating new villains instead of falling back on the same old rogue gallery by changing the Joker's hair colour.

Bruce at the end of the series is alone in his mansion, looking at window when a bat shatters it. He stares at the bat and the black night before saying to himself, "I shall become that which frightens criminals."

He takes a syringe and plunges it into his arm.

Bruce slowly transforms into a humanoid bat.

    "I shall become Man-Bat!"

    End series.

"He's sulking in his tent like Achilles! It's the Iliad?...from Homer?! READ A BOOK!!" -Handy

I love that in this scenario, Bruce has a needle of human-to-bat transformation serum ready and at hand before he decides to transform into a bat. Now that's planning for all contingencies!

My real guess for how it ends
It’ll be like Smallville, where yeah, he’ll be Batman, but we won’t actually see him do anything.

Introducing his twin brother, Bryce Wayne.

Not a spinoff but who knows. It'll be a 10 episode series on Epix from the showrunner of Gotham.:
The series will revolve around Alfred Pennyworth, the best friend and butler to Bruce Wayne (AKA Batman). The series is not a Gotham spinoff, but rather an entirely new story exploring Alfred’s origins as a former British SAS soldier who forms a secret company and goes to work with Thomas Wayne — Bruce’s billionaire father, in 1960s London.

And the current Alfred will not be involved at all.

This thread has been around since the beginning of the show, so there's no way it's allowed to die before the last season ends.

    First, a trailer.

    https://youtu.be/J1QWAnG4gu8

    Second, the hype trailer.

    https://youtu.be/aK6tHkw62Nw

But now the season is a couple of episodes in, with 10 left. Who dares to not watch this show?

Well, this careening train on fire's coming to the end of the tracks.

But whatever you thought of this show, Carmen Bicondova, the actor who played Selena Kyle, is the classiest of the classy. (Spoiler alert for the finale, I guess.)
