How do you like the painting part of ProCreate? I was struggling to adjust from how shading works in Photoshop.
I've found it pretty easy to get into. I'm still playing around trying to figure out what brushes I like. I think they added some new layer modes recently if that was part of what was bothering you.
Asaro head study in Procreate + Ipad.
Messing around with oil-type brushes for that loose bush stroke style I enjoy.
Took the photo of the head myself too.
edit:
Now that I'm looking at it, I think the image lost a bunch of contrast during the dropbox transfer from the Ipad. Anyone have a suggestion for file transfer?
The first two episodes of Amphibia are supposed to be live on YouTube tonight at midnight. I'm looking forward to it so I decided to do some Amphibia Kart Double Dash fan art.
I decided I haven't been practicing with my drawing tablet enough recently so I decided to start a thing on it, and hopefully I can actually flesh it out eventually. (heh)
One thing I world like to try but haven't built up the gumption to
Is to take maybe even some old line art I did on paper and try to digitally color or paint over it.
But I don't have any experience working with real life paint or color besides my warmachine and infinity figures. I have no idea where to start with trying it in krita.
A question for the copics users. Can the colourless blender go bad with age or does it only work with the right paper or something? I got a bunch of old copics and refills a while ago and I'm still trying to get a handle on them, but the blender doesn't seem to do any blending. Maybe I'm using it wrong.

There are A LOT of videos on this subject but maybe one of the best is the Blender Guru one...
Did you know that you can doodle with NVIDIA's GauGAN tool and make landscapes? (You gotta scroll down on the page to check the Terms and Conditions box)
Another Procreate (It's Oaks from My Time at Portia)
I've been making my canvas absolutely gigantic which is probably not necessary. I ran out of layers in this drawing which I think probably won't happen on a smaller canvas? I'm not sure how that works.
(Also I didn't paint that background; it's art from the game)
That's so awesome. I started doing Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson paintings a few months ago but I can't figure out how to colour them.
I did the values in greyscale and was going to glaze on layers of colour but I don't really know what the fuck I'm doing so they are still in my art room, forever a work in progress.

That pose is 100% accurate for his "behold me" schtick.
I was using a reference looking back and forth
His torso is too long so I got in close on the part I was happiest with.

happy MGS2 day

@Dex Dynamo Prompt
Is it from New York? The upper appendages say "Ey I'm duelin' ova here"
Thanks. I believe I was using Anatomy for Sculptors which is a fantastic book for reference.

Trying to think of accessories and such but that probably takes it out of the realm of being a doodle.

I'm still sort of getting the hang of what all the brushes do.
