If you're treasure hunting wouldn't it be better to just regular Seismic Assault their face?

Are the Legends legends under some sort of pseudo restricted list? Since they're RPG characters of the designers. Rework them as well!

yeah i love core set 2019

You're referring to the cooler Elder dragon legends of Legends, though. I'm thinking of these guys:

Hey that one's already legal in Modern.

My roommate and I were talking about this last night! I think it's more likely we see him than not, but what incarnation of him is the big question. Somewhere between Antiquities and Ice Age is my guess.

I would like them to print Yawgmoth because that sounds cool.

Thran-Era Yawgmoth where he's just a charismatic scientist.

I think if we're seeing Serra and Urza, the likelihood of seeing Yawgmoth goes up a lot. I have no idea who they're going to shoehorn into green (maybe just printing Titania is reasonable enough) or red (same, but Tawnos or Feldon reprints? New versions?).

Also I got to thinking more about that Izzet CoCo and I think it's totally viable with basically just Blightning, Ancestral Vision, Collective Brutality, Dreadbore, Faithless Looting and Thoughseize. You can throw some weird sorcery speed burn in there for removal and for consistency with phoenices and/or pyromancers, but I think with enough proactive discard, the deck has legs.

Yeah reprinting any one of the Commander legends from that era is fine. It's a shame Freyalise has the commander trinket text, although I'm not sure that's disqualifying here.

Thundering Djinn could be a real powerhouse but 5 CMC is ehhhhh

Spellbound Dragon was 5 CMC mind and I remember that being a beast.

Thundering Djinn is actually way more expensive than it looks if you want it to actually DO anything. Also the flavor text sucks ass good lord

Wonder if there's enough bears to make a passable commander deck with Ayula?

    No shit, Pip.

But as an aside, I was curious if any Delirium cards had ever broken into Modern.

So they are adding the Japanese Planeswalker artworks to MTGA as Sleeves. They do have the stained glass artwork as a card style though.

I'll take an Amano Lili Sleeve.

    A. Needlessly aggressive
    B. Delirium? Traverse kinda got played like molly said. I think folks were tinkering a bit with Grim Flayer too. But nothing major

I guess it shouldn't be a surprise, considering there weren't even that many playable in Standard at the time. But I always thought Grim Flayer had a chance, maybe even the Delirium Hymn.

And I guess we should be thankful Emrakul 2.0 wasn't good enough.

This set seems like it is going to create a reasonable shakeup, so lots of potential weirdness can happen. Gotta wait for people better than us to throw shit at a wall

Grand Prix Dallas is the first big modern event after release.

Someone is going to top 8 with, like, fuckin' bear tribal.
