I was under the impression from reviews I'd seen that infiltrators and eliminators weren't 'elites' and that this book was just a convenient place to stick their rules.

Also it didn't seem to me that elites are an opt-in thing like commanders. Unless of course the elite happens to BE a commander.

I should have lik 96 Necron Warrior models but I can't find all of them. I do have a bunch in a large Clorox bleach wipes container I cleaned out with alcohol and peroxide in it but it can't hold like 60 warriors which is what I'm pretty sure I'm missing. I have a little container with 30 or so busted warriors that I should probably fix.

Ok why are you putting the warriors in the wipes thing?

How do you store the necrons as I am just using a cardboard box for now for them and another for my tyranids but I feel I need something better for them just the planos I have for my black templars works for them but my eldar are in a old pistol case

They are in an alcohol/peroxide mix to strip paint.

I have an army case thing with pluck foam that I got with the big army of Necrons that I bought. Besides that I have some plastic containers with lids that I'll put the larger stuff in like my two doomsday arks or the night scythes.

I'm not really great about transportation for my stuff, either cardboard boxes I can close or plastic containers about shoe box size for most of my stuff. The goal is to eventually carry them in magnetized carrying cases.

For me it is mostly that I don't spend a lot of time using my keyboard and I'm not sure the best way to clean it so I keep putting it off.

1 Turn it upside down and shake
2 go across the horizontal lines with some thin tool to brush out stuff inside (lint, hairs)
3 go over the surfaces with a toothbrush gently soaked in isopropyl alcohol to degrease it.

Not perfect but should be a good start.

Working on rebuilding these busted Necrons. 16 of them have the gun broken at various points of the barrel, 4 have no arms. I don't know where the broken parts are for those ones. I do have enough bits to make 5 brand new Necron Warriors. Not sure if I should do that or try to replace stuff.

No idea what to do with the broken barrel Necrons.

Can basic warriors take Tesla weapons? If so, stick spare Tesla muzzle pieces on them and invent the Tesla Shotgun.
Alternatively you could probably build replacement barrels from plastic rod sections and make a press-mould of the muzzle to clone that a few times (or use spare bitz if available) - this is relatively high effort but much of the drudgery can be eliminated with the use of a simple cutting jig.

There are companies which sell the barrels. For the caps and arms, though, yeah, press-molding might be best.

No, unfortunately no tesla. I was thinking of trying to shorten it or find something else to cap the end. Not really sure how to do a press mould or what a cutting jig is so I'll look into that.

Honestly I could probably just leave the warriors without barrels and arms off to the side for terrain or something. With those Warriors off to the side I still have 60 or 70 Warriors.

I do kind of hate to waste them though.

Necrons do have that whole reanimation thing going for them, if you can find some tiny wire and springs or other suitable robot junk you might be able to make it look like they're in the process of self-repairing?

Squad of “Ynari Warriors” made, the guardian torso does a good job making the warriors a little bigger and providing the back vents to match the Visarch.

For fun I tried the opposite, giving a guardian a warrior torso.

Not so good, the arms, legs and heads are way too big making it look weird.

    Good thing guardians suck.

Hey, so I'm on the verge of returning this piece of shit Havoks box. The backpacks are designed in such a way that your options are deliberately limited.
1 marine can only be assembled as a champion. This I can tolerate, though barely.
1 can only choose RC, HB or AC
1 can only choose HB or AC
The remaining two can only choose LC or ML.

So even if you buy two boxes, you can't e.g. field 4 HB and 4 AC. The other squad HAS to be 4 LC or 4 ML.

What the fucking fuck GW, this is a level of bullshit even I couldn't come up with, and I "pride" myself in being an extremely sleazy businessman.

Yeah the weapon selection is just sad. One rotary cannon, two of everything else. I was pretty annoyed by it. I got two but I plan to build 4 MLs and 4 Lascannons. I am using the ACs in non-havoc squads. I am saving the rotaries and will probably add them to a third box so I have all three.

The CSM box only has a HB and a ML no lascannon or rotary cannon. Or ACs. But as a long time Chaos player none of this surprises me.

The termi box is the worst. The base close combat weapon is a chain axe.

There is one chain axe in the box.

So in the land of random thoughts I went through and thought how crazy can I buff warp talons.

    Base stat line:

3 WS S4 T4 2/3A -2 AP 1D with rerolls to wound, jump packs, and ignore overwatch the turn they come in. Not crazy but not bad.

    First heretic astartes buffs:

Tip of the claw WL trait: Add 2" to charges made by host raptorial units in 6" of this character. This is basically 1-2 CP to get it running, totally worth it.

Chosen of the Pantheon (1 CP, Black Legion)-This unit gains all the marks of chaos. (Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, and Khorne)

Greater Possessed-Daemon units in 6" of the character get +1 strength.

Vicious Descent- Host rapotrial unit rerolls all hit rolls for attacks made by that unit until the end of the turn.

Prescience-+1 to hit till the next psychic phase

Vets of the Long War-+1 to wound until the end of the phase

Khorne stratagem for a second attack phase

All of these stack, already this is mean but we aren't done!

    Daemon buffs:

4x Herald Buffs-One for each god for +4 strength

I think I can fit at least two locus in here and the rest would be summoned I think:

Locus for Khorne (reroll charges) and Locus for Nurge (wounds of 6+ add 1 damage)

What do you get at the end?

2+ WS (reroll all), s9, t4, 2/3A, +1 to wound, -2 AP, 1D(2D on 5+ wound rolls), ignores overwatch, rerolls wounds (lightning claws), 5+ death to the false emperor. +2" to charges. Just mean. Kind of a cool overload. And totally not worth it but man you can rip up things. Its silly though. Man the chaos overlapping auras is fun.

I've just given my termies (Calth cataphractii termis, actually) a GS tentacle arm for cc arm. Then that counts as whatever I want/need for a battle. Problem solved.

For havocs I just plan to proxy them. I have enough calth marines for two squads (one with ml and one with hb), and I'll just proxy them as whatever.

I am kind of meh on Kal and Scabs I have the minis from back in the day so the new ones are very low on the list but in talking about their rules. They mention ratskins. I'm trying to figure out how to make that look nice in teserract form. I'm also still worried about it actually holding well and not falling apart when I move it around. I will find out tomorrow though, I wanna let the glue and green stuff harden.

Could picture them sending shipments to redistributors though.
I'd imagine it would be cheaper to send a single big shipment to some guy with a warehouse who then breaks them up and reships them from Ohio than it would be to send hundreds of small shipments from their production facility.
