so while ultimately I don't think I liked Stone Ocean very much (right now I'm thinking 4>2>1>5>6>3), what I will say is Pucci is maybe my favorite non-Kira villain
he's got a great look, Whitesnake is one of the coolest stands, his ability shapes the entire narrative of the arc, he's got an interesting backstory, and you just wanna see his whole face get smashed in
God I love how this random chumpo stand user from the very beginning just comes in and immediately finds the Rokakaka Fruit by using his absurdly specific stand in a clever way. It's so good.
Just re-read Battle Tendency because the library has the hardcovers (which are very nice), and I realised I'd somehow forgotten the incredible bit at the end where
Wammu launches his own disembodied head from a crossbow, to destroy the small army of vampires that are about to dishonourably kill JoJo/Lisa Lisa, winding the crossbow back by using the hair from his head as that's all that's left of him.
Sure, the pillar men are the villains, but they (with one obvious exception) did not want to win unfairly.
