This is Boomer!

He is a Maine Coone/Domestic shorthair mix that I'll be picking up from the shelter tomorrow. However my wife does not care for his name. While she's trying to think one up, I'm not above outsourcing these things.

The top contender at the moment is Hex but it's still up in the air.

Sometimes a personality is good to establish to figure out a fitting name, but I don't know why, that cat SCREAMS Wrex to me.
    Siege. Fuck ya. Great name.

Seems like a good name for a Maine Coone.

Are you not aware that cats require two names, what you call him and their actual regal name

    Sig, Sigmund Von Killinsworth III

    Loki, Count Loki Von Jercula

Neighbor had a cat named Steve. He called him vicious dildo because he would get in a torpedo shape and then dive at your crotch.

So you still need to come up with his casual nickname.

    Nothing wrong with Seej.
Good solid cat name, you can call it out with the extra syllables to call a cat in it, or yell it out to stop them doing something with just enough 'hiss' to get them to pay attention.
Looks like it has good hints of Panther/Tiger lineage as well.

I've discovered pet names should ideally be two syllables. Any less and you're probably just going to invent a longer name so you don't confuse it with similar sounding words, any more and you're going to find yourself calling them by a shortened version. Two syllables is good.

Cats do not answer to their name. They answer to the sound of the fridge.

You need to get him a Roomba to ride on, Quid.

    It will be...The Siege Engine.
