Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Had a game with Chromatic Black where I managed to get Golos down and trigger him. I immediately drew 3 lands.
I calmly, yet sternly, explained to the game that I was a whale and did not deserve that treatment and tried it again on the next game. It kindly gave me Niv Mizzet, Zacama, and Mastermind's Acquisition.
I felt we connected in that moment. Truly, the shuffler is not random.

WotC gave me 10k gold to refund the two drafts I entered where I encountered the gamebreaking pass-turn bug.
I had paid with gems to enter the things, but it's better than nothing.

Just won a game vs. Esper... Teferi, I guess? Was running both plus Spark Double for maximum annoyance. Wincons appeared to be Bell-Haunt, repeatedly bouncing Oath of Kaya, and maybe pinging me to death with Sorin. I Desparked the only Sorin I saw, Wrathed away at least two Bell-Haunts, and eliminated Teferis as the opportunity presented with the tools at my disposal. I get them down to 6, they draw and give me the GGs. This is followed by Doubling little Teferi and bouncing my threat.
O...k...? Still haven't presented me a winning board state here, so let's earn that GG, bucko.
I mostly let them have their fun, bouncing things and drawing extra cards while keeping the time mages under control if possible. Eventually one of their Big Teferis threatens an ultimate. I topdeck Oath of Kaya and shoot it; they... respond by hitting their own PW with Vraska's Contempt? They must have been watching their life total, but I was watching their library. (EDIT: They must have been preventing me from gaining 3 life. That tracks if their wincon was 3-damage packets.)
More extra cards drawn, including Chemister's Insight and the new Dig Through Time. Eventually it looks like they will be able to use their last Bell-Haunt and Oath to get there, but they tuck the Bell-Haunt in their library for reasons that are unclear to me. Possibly to avoid decking? I dunno, because that's how they ultimately died with me still at 4 life and what I'm assuming was a grip full of kill spells and/or lands.
I would have probably scooped to Jace at any point but he just wasn't in the deck. *shrug*
I did not GG them when their library was empty on my last turn.

I never GG first when I think I'm about to win unless there is literally nothing on the board that can stop me from killing them this turn and they have nothing they can cast. 1. It's rude. 2. It's tempting fate.

I don't GG first unless it's followed by my own concession. Although if I'm dead on board I'll usually let them finish.
I've had two different people today use Negate on a Spell Pierce.

I don't GG unless I am either dead on board or I have my own lethal attack.
And if they can stop my shit then I respond with a Nice!
It's only polite, I think.

Just went 7-2 in the 2020 draft with a temur elementals deck. Only had one risen reef and it still did a ton of work. Can’t imagine what a second would have done.

I have accidentally decked myself tuning my temur elemental deck against Sparky, so...
Oh my god Karn is stupid in this event, he stops your opponent from using treasure tokens and if your opponent is aggro enough to threaten him, you can just kill treasure tokens so he's 6 loyalty and they probably won't stop you from wishboarding in something stupid next turn.
Probably can. I made a very janky RDW and powered through my last few matches. Worst case, you win or lose quick.

I just wish it was pre-cons all the way down for these events, what's the point in a farewell tour of Ixalan if it's RDW and Superfriends for both of my 2 games this evening?
Ramp seems pretty good too. I just had an opponent open with shockland > growth spiral into forest > arboreal grazer into land > go. 3 lands in play on turn 1.
Precons for these events would make me actively want to play them instead of begrudgingly do it without being able to give it time to deckbuild something fitting the format

I brought the "Cascade" deck into this and that's what I do.
Deck based matchmaking felt in play during this event and my sample size was small, but decks that felt good during this event:
RDW: Not necessarily actually good, but extremely fast and capable of explosive starts with Steamkin that punish any durdling. Probably best to shave lands and go with the more all-in wizards and efrenzy package than the Bo3 builds that have Chandra's Spitfires and Ember Haulers.
Ramp in general: Turning temporary treasure resources into permanent resources is huge. Scapeshift obviously benefits here too, but doesn't actually speed up that much because the trick is getting seven lands, not a lot of mana.
BR Mayhem Devil: Hilarious. Every treasure token pings something for 1.
Mono-Green Tron: Turn 2 Nissa (with elf) or turn 2 Karn are both a ridiculous beating. Put two amulets of safekeeping in your wishboard and Scapeshift basically can't kill you. 2x Sorcerous Spyglass, 1x Graffdigger's Cage, 2x God-Pharoah's Statue, 1x Scyscanner, 2x Meteor Golem, 1x Fountain of Renewal, and other stuff to taste is probably what I'd settle on as the core "this saves me in most every situation" board. Note if you don't want to pull in a card because your Karn is at risk, you can just blow up a treasure and -2 when you actually have mana to cast things.

Mayhem Devil triggers off Treasures, if you want to play around with that. Woodland Champion too, though that's less fun.

I'm pretty sure you still just get 1 mythic, 2 rare, and 3 uncommon wilds.
Yes, that's it, for (at minimum) 300 uncommons, or 900 commons, or some mixture.

Lavinia, Azorius Renegade dropped on turn 1 can mess people up though.
