I suppose the real question is... is there any reason to engage in any content? I mean, IDK.
Do the things that entertain you?
I mean, sure. What I meant to ask, i guess, is if they offer any rewards different from other missions to make the supposed puzzles and other things worth it?
It just sounds like current gameplay with more, and less fun, annoying steps.
I like running missions and doing CPs. Shooting dudes. That whole thing. Just wondering how obtuse they are.
I will have to say in the wake of what just happened in america its a lot harder to play division 2. Like I can play RDR 2 no issue even though that too is shooting guns, but divisions modern aesthetic just makes me feel kinda bad?
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
Got the Diamondback rifle exotic last night and am having a hard time justifying switching my Military M17 with 48 rounds to the Diamondback with only 5 rounds. I would also have to give up my Nemesis exotic to use it. Going to play around for awhile with. On a side not the Diamondback doesn't show up on the exotic board at the White House shooting range.

I have found the Diamondback fun but not enough to switch me off my main spec, it can hit tremendously hard though.
Finished the apparel event, raincoat was literally the last item in the box. However, paired with the black tusk mask it makes for a really cool hazmat goon from an 80s scifi film.
Made a build for the Diamondback last night, was hitting 1.6million dps on the “named” rank gallery targets when they were marked. 2million with the guarantee crit proc in effect
Certainly will keep the build in my list will be a nice change from LMG and stickybomb builds
I need to do the Student Union center. But what happens in 5 days? Is there another region to explore? Different faction takes over? Really curious about that bit.
edit: nevermind, there's 3 locations and a new "mystery" to solve. the language in-game suggests closing but other stuff says it'll be around still.

I’m not sure to be honest, maybe the big open map that leads to the little areas will have enemies spawn.
The expeditions would be nearer if the environmental puzzles randomized a little bit. The library cables go to different areas, the metro pump puzzle switches which boxes have the yellow pipe, etc. it’s not s groundbreaking change but seeing the exact same configurations leaves me wondering why.

This was kind of my issue with div 1 and survival mode. I mean I fucking loved survival mode, but once you knew where to go, it was basically just hitting up the right stops and getting some good drops. Would have been better with randomization.

Yea I wanted to see those survival mechanics in place with the low visibility and limited equipment done elsewhere in game. Im not into competing with randoms in games so I didn’t play it much, even less once it was apparent that item locations were not randomized .

huh, I actually assumed they did.
the five minute library rolling defense seemed to be random.

Unlocked the diamond back, I do laugh that I had more trouble finding the stupid secret rooms than doing the encounters. Though man those hack and defend for five minutes solo are a pain.
Haven't tried the diamondback, but it amuses me that in RDR 2 its a repeater with the actual magazine size its supposed to have, and in div 2 it has less than half.

Kenly Student Union has to be the most annoying of the things to solo. If it's a rinse/repeat rotation thing for these, I don't think I'll be bothering to do it next time.
Did the escort no problem... the terminal defense with the suicide bombers that were able drop down and stagger/kill me then having to start from the very beginning of the investigation just broke my rhythm up for the night.

Buddy and Lucy was the only boss I was missing, started up joining a group on final boss earlier and getting a Razorback kill then.
Found a group on Buddy and Lucy but that didnt trigger the achievement outright, seems having 4/4 bosses and beating Razorback triggers it, I got it just after beating Razorback again.
that's good to know then. not really too worried about that one yet, though I probably need to get on it soon. when you matchmade was there a lot of "one pure build"ism, or was it relaxed?

I mean, I did the matchmaking "Discovery" thing and noone ever said a thing to me, didnt experience anything else out of the ordinary from other people.
A few pointers would help most people though.
First area, just kill stuff to get to Boomer's area.
Boomer - Shoot the thing on his chest until he keels over for a bit, during this animation he takes damage but its short, he is invulnerable otherwise, He'll randomly agro on one of you, just dance around him, I usually set my Repair Drone to heal whoever he ran after, not sure if you have to use the Miniguns or not, I tried to position him in front of a MG whenever he agroed on me, Boomer can self heal if left alone.
Weasel - Split into 2 groups, each team kills a Heavy with boss health, whenever one dies, it spawns an additional stronger 3rd boss for the room that is still fighting one of the first 2 bosses, now both teams can help eachother since the middle of the map is open.
Buddy and Lucy (2 robot dogs) - Lucy does a timed 360 AOE oneshot burst that will kill you if you arent crouching in cover (it has a visible ability bar charging up on her), Buddy does constant grenade barrage to knock you out of cover - separate the 2 and kill them one by one, if they get together they'll both heal.
Razorback - Charge 4 plates to 100%, Razorback will open and spawn a bunch of elite drones, deal with them while shooting weakpoint on Razorback (Big Tower looking thing, they are a big weak point that will make the turret expand, exposing more weakpoints) do this until dead.
Most annoying thing was the Raid leader quitting (twice) after a single wipe on Buddy and Lucy, that will kick you back to start and reset the entire instance because fuck you, I guess?
This can be easy or really hard depending on how terrible your randoms are (and your own gear and loadout) how many people quit out etc., should at least have an option to give anything exclusive lootwise to the raid but nope! All I got was junk that I immediately discarded.
I did get my last achievement though, you also get an AC130 backpack trophy.

Worst thing is, if they had set this up for 4 people and put in all the rewards (and actually scaled the raid for console), I would probably have played this a bunch to get Eaglebearer with my friends.
Raid overall seems cool enough but their lack of a good matchmaking system, weird 8 man requirement, increased difficulty for console and terrible "You get nothing!" attitude for doing it on Discovery is just sad.
A full expedition site has three locations. You can explore each location within an expedition, while it is open. The general concept of an event being that it is temporary occurrence and all.
edit: just realized I didn't get the backpack trophies! FFF ONE MORE WEEK! ARRGg.

I'll admit that I hadn't noticed that each expedition would be a timed thing, but there's no reason to assume that they are never coming back around again (even before direct confirmation that they are doing exactly that). Also it's free DLC lol, people are looking for anything to be grumpy about these days.
Seems like so many people bought the season pass without reading what it actually provides.
Odds on the next one having proper X/XX - X/XX dates in place like the apparel events from the outset?

I mean yeah. Statements from devs like that are in really bad faith.
How is it a monumental task? Just make other assault rifles better.
If you god damn have to, fix one weapon type at a time. Dont make it monumental.
And Snek Gun isnt that great.
Soooo....

All the shitty matchmaking issues solved 5 years ago, reinvented for this shit raid.
Fuck Massive and this amateur hour of a raid.
I’ve beaten Razorback earlier, I just need Buddy and Lucy... And this shit doesnt even give any loot.

And so, the Kenly Expedition closure/end of event outrage begins:
My favorite:
Wasn't there always a timer for overall closure along with the timers for when each area opened?
So much of this though, because nobody pays attention to the things that they bought:
The perfect storm of poor context enforcement on their part and misreading:
