Too bad she couldn't keep your team alive in the fight before that.

The bots know exactly what they are doing. You think your bot is throwing, but it's you who fails to comprehend the next level shit they're on.
I feel the AI bots for some of the characters have bad code
D va is one because she fails to use the bomb and to get back into the mech when it's ready. Failstad is the nickname my brother and I have for the AI bot and Abathur is weird as it seems to be doing it right but hides in the spawn pretty much after the first fort is gone. But for a while the Ai seems to have picked up the group them up strat as it just runs around as a group of 5 doesn't split them up or anything and if you kill the key member of it the Ai flees [guessing which is the key member is a problem as it's not the healer most of the time}
I wish that they'd bring back whatever made the ai get the camps like clockwork.
Their macro play sucks, but it's fun when they pull off some crazy hive mind micro play. Junkrat in particular has unnerving precision in his ability to knock you precisely somewhere unfortunate with that air bag knock back.
Edit:
I'd also like a difficulty level that gives the ai handicaps to make the fights a bit more interesting. I'd like to see what they could do if they had something like global xp soak range.
Edit 2:
I also enjoy watching the bots avoid skill shots. Sometimes it's like watching those cliche Kung-fu movies where the wizened masters barely move to evade attacks by millimeters.
Like they're water, the skill shots are oil, and they won't mix unless the attacks are completely confirmed.
Has no one made one of those super AI learning programs for MOBAs like they did for StarCraft, or is it too different?
I think the large number of maps with vastly different objectives and meta games would probably make it harder for HotS, or at least take a ton more iterations. But the bigger problem is that HotS is dedgame so there is probably zero interest in training AI compared to DotA2/LoL.
I think HotS would be easier to write AI for than DotA/LoL because of the absence of the item economy - they could train different sets of AI for each map. They could even just pick one canonical talent build for every hero and do pretty well. The really hard part about MOBA AI is the character variety and team fights. The bots I've seen had a limited pool of supported characters it could play as/against.
The bots I've seen had a limited pool of supported characters it could play as/against.
That's true as well. That wouldn't really work for general vs. AI games since part of the fun is potentially playing against the entire roster. I don't think people would want to play against the same comps over and over.

isn't it amazing how i soaked more than twice my other teammates, individually? and practically doubled their damage?
how could we possibly have lost this game? hmmm!! could it possibly have been the genji that swift striked into the whole enemy team, immediately hits W, tries to walk away and D out but gets rooted and dies? could it POSSIBLY be the genji that swift striked into the ENTIRE enemy team from behind, pops dragon blade when they're all at full health, gets two swings off and DIES????
COULD IT POSSIBLY BE THE 8 DEATH DIABLO? :OOOO
maybe the KTZ who never finished his quest (didn't even get glacial spike!!) and was never able to combo?
our li li at the end of that match said "sorry guys i held down Q as hard as i could" and i just somberly said "i know, li li. i know."
i literally had a fuckin' huge steamroll the very next game though so i get to complain about this one >:P
That game doesn't seem nearly close enough to a full-on stomp to warrant a Dibbypost. At least you had a strong Lili, and they seemed to have a shitty Illidan.

I know a bunch of folks from this thread don't follow Dota, but the International's on at the moment. Literally over thirty million dollars in the prize pool. It's been a lot of fun. But it's these promo shorts that are the absolute best, though. These guys are out there killing it.
"We'd rather play with dead Yang than r0tk."
"This year's TI is going to be different. Vici is going to be holding up the Aegis. How am I so confident? Nobody else has the "dead Yang" strat."
nah we were actually winning the game, y'all. we had pushed all the way up to their keeps. murky was a non-issue cause we were still winning teamfight and obj.
we just started throwing instead :rotate:

I mean, you say the Murky was a non-issue but I see 25k XP while his team died 20 times, so I'm pretty sure the reason they were able to turn it around was because he maintained level parity while they were constantly dying.

Easy recipe for a party mix.
Just take
1 Maiev
1 Anduin Lightbomb
1 Enemy Team
Throw into a cage of wardens and spread out fan of knifes to taste
It's that easy!
"they made them a lot worse a few months ago"
"idk why they insisted on changing them"
hmmmmm

No, but I remember this Nova game!

Oh wait, that was my fault wasn't it? Like, I made a contest for everyone to play as Nova and earn points based on your performance.
