Coloring very short hair

I'm dressing up as Corbin Dallas from the Fifth Element, and was thinking of adding an extra element of reality by dying my hair blond.

The problem is that I'm pretty much have very short hair that won't grow out. That's actually probably an exageration. I generally shave my head or keep a very close buzz. Right now I have a slight fuzz pretty much.

Is dying it even possible? If not, any other ideas? Wigs are out btw.

    Anyways, he doesn't have much hair to begin with? Is this a Halloween costume? Cause if it is, you have time. He's 75% forehead anyways. Just shave it all, no one will know the difference?

    It is possible to dye hair that short. Though to be clear, if you're going that very light blonde you're not "dying" per se, you're bleaching. For hair that short, I would recommend having a professional do it - if you've never at-home bleached your hair before, you're less likely to get a satisfactory result your first time, and with such short hair you're more in danger of giving yourself a chemical burn. A professional will have the experience to both give you the desired color effect and protect your skin.

    You can get costume temporary hair dyes in goofy colors.

    Yeah I forgot about the temporary options. For something a little more high end than Party City, you could get colored hair wax:

    (I also have not tried this product, but watching people on Youtube it does appear to work as far as color goes. Styling might be a bit difficult but if you're buzzed short anyway you might not notice a styling difference.)

    Thank you! The Mofajang looks perfect for my needs! I was just about to try and schedule a hair coloring but this looks way easier (and cheaper alternative).

    I'm actually dressing up for a climbing competition, our team name is The Fifth Ele-Mount and I'll make sure to post pictures of us from this weekend. :)
