Yeah that was a good raid, but I'm also kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop, because most of these fights are only ever-so-slightly modified from their normal mode versions
Azshara is...way, way harder on Heroic. I've heard some mythic raiders say it's the hardest non-mythic boss since they did the difficulty swaps in SoO.

Two? Maybe three. During the intermission I accidentally touched an egg and got blasted across the gap and landed totally safely and not at all by accident and was the first into the room for phase 2.

Definitely totally on purpose, all that.
it was like 4 or 5 more attempts, we kept flubbing the first phase
i think I might try destruction when my azerite respecs come down
there are a bunch of fights in that place where some on demand burst cleave for short lived extra targets would be very nice but instead I gotta go "guess I'll throw a seed at it and hope the raids got this" and keep tunneling the boss
A few more wipes related to early taunts or random errant deaths, but nothing that was really the fault of misunderstanding mechanics, mostly just first-time growing pains that I doubt will be an issue when farming

It'll definitely be easier with the Shambler's smaller raid size, and the same DPS cheese strat applies - you can just murder one add and ignore the other one. The main problems will be the double decrees and managing them (especially stand alone+soak), and making sure you've got people ready to (carefully) hit the console button when Azshara overloads it.
Alliance side we failed miserably with 20+ people, then downed her after 2 nights of attempts by dividing into two 15 man raid teams.
Za'cool is nothing to worry about. I have only a 50% understanding of what the fuck is going on there and we facerolled it with the full raid group. I will say that our alliance raid gets hard carried by an orange parsing holy paladin and a small group of high dpsers, so uh......make sure Shirls heals I guess?
Mechagon is a shit zone huh. I could be flying by now if you weren't garbage gnomes!!!
Huh, I finished Mechagon a few days before Nazjatar.
Are you doing to alternate timeline dailies?
literally impossible until you do chromie at least once which I can't because she hasn't shown up since I resubbed. Which is part of why I think it's a bad zone. Locking a fair amount of the daily rep gain behind a rotating selection of characters is a dumbo move imo.
Also nazjatar has a lot of main story stuff that gave unshackled rep that mechagon just doesn't get. Plus the bodyguards give rep when you get them to certain levels, which I was doing across the board because I farmed a bunch of the +bodyguard-rep items. I think I pulled an extra thousand or so rep from the 2 bodyguards I wasn't using from those items alone.

...did I do the what?
Every once in a while Chromie is hanging out in town and gives you a daily. When you talk with her, she ports you into the "future of the world if you don't help the questgivers" there. It's Mechagon isle but everything is on fire and everyone is dead or turned into a robot.
There are a couple of other dailies you can pick up while there.
If you farm the big robots that are there, you can get a blueprint for a craftable device that teleports you to that reality that you can use any time, not just when Chromie is in town. The other daily quests are always there even if Chromie isn't doing here to port you there. It's like another 200 rep every day.
There is also a rare that only spawns in that future timeline "the Rusty Prince".
Thanks for posting the logs. I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong, the difference in mitigated seems fairly substantial. I know I've been looking for highest light level, but it might be time to sit down and figure out best in slot/traits that help.
I love being one of the specs that is super overrepresented among mythic raiders so I just look that much worse. I bet if I switched to Feral I'd get 70%+ parses without much experience.
I feel like on Orzongo I was just healing my ass off, and by the end I had like 10% mana....maybe I need to heal like that more because I was at 82% of my iLevel
There ain't room enough in this town for two warlocks, mister. (But I have zero energy to bother trying to catch up Zekkan so I guess we'll just have two warlocks.)

I aim to end every fight with 0% mana.
I also aspire to begin every fight with 0% mana but that goal remains out of reach except in mythic+.
Seriously though, if I end a fight with more than 0% mana, or if any of my cooldowns are still available, then I take a hard look at my performance to see where I could've been doing more damage or better utilizing cooldowns.
+1

I also need to start collecting more blueprints but I figure that will be easier with flying
