OSHA, the CDC, the DoL, and NIOSH came up with an app that measures the Heat Index, available for Android and iOS. All it does is check your location and local forecast, but it gives you a risk gauge and precautions you can take.
I don't think we've had a day where it hasn't been under 30°C for like, 2 or 3 weeks.
It usually hits 32-33 by midday with heat indexes of around 35-36. I love summer but I am about over this to be honest. Literally cannot drive anywhere without my shirt and pants getting soaked with sweat.
Oregon has pretty good weather til around September then fall kicks in through October.
And then the rains begin and don't stop til July 5th...
Hey June is usually pretty rain free. It's one of the best months of the year. We do have some great falls though. I love sitting around the firepit in early October, having a beer, watching the leaves fall, and kicking back.
Not far off the average for earlier wetter months.
Half the time, Portland receives 1 to 3 inches (30 to 74 mm) of rainfall in June. One in four years has drier weather, while another one in four is wetter.

Maybe the non-rainy days are nicer so it's more noticeable when it's dry outside.
It doesn't snow often back home, but when it does it's pretty
I only got this shot:
... Only snow in the rain on the windshield though.
None settling in the suburbs proper.
Or at least not north-side.
Disappointing.
I think I found a genie and wished to be the hottest person alive. Instead of making me attractive he just made me uncomfortably hot and sweaty all the time.
I finally feel like summer has arrived to Portland. While the rest of the country has had a record hot summer, I've felt pretty comfortable most of the time. But got to be about 100 today. Hopefully it doesn't last too long, and we get a nice autumn going.
Look, provide me with a home and stable job in Minnesota and I'll move there

I'd rather be in Phoenix than Minnesota. We joke about dry heat but damn if its not a thing. I'd rather work in 105f desert heat than 90f 100% humidity midwest/southern heat.

I have accepted death. I welcome it as an old friend.
Update: I have acquired an exceedingly large and frosty dos equis. Not today, death. Not today.

No idea how well (if at all) it works outside the US, but anyone out there can give it a shot.

Man, I remember when August used to be cool! Or, at least, cooler than July. I mean, it tried, and then we had this weekend.
Is this what is referred to as an Indian First American Summer? Or does that come later?
