Eh keys will likely be from shift codes and since you can get legendary guns now Its better to horde them all anyway.

Yeah, I kind of figured that's how we're able to co-op. So I have no idea if I can co-op with others that aren't on the LAN without having to do anything or if I'll need to do something to make that happen.
Also mania Kreig build is tons of fun, I'm only at 16, but I see how this build is going to get crazier.
Kind of sad how Kreig is actually a good example of good design, where Gaige (as fun as she is to play) is a example of bad design (two ultimate talents that are garbage and forced to have to spend points into the Anarchy tree up to at least discord, arguably you need to go to rational anarchist and five points into close enough in the BFF tree. Kreig as far as I can tell, can pretty much run with any of his trees, sure there is probably one that is the best, but he doesn't seem like he is forced to have to pick up specific talents to properly work. Salvador seems like another good example, where there is actual freedom in how to build the character. Honestly, if they had designed anarchy so that popping DT started to make the player gain stacks upon killing or reloading and then had the anarchy tree just make it a permanent feature, maybe their would be more choice in how one could build Gaige. I'm still not sure what the fuck they were thinking with digi-struct claws, Kreig and Zero exist for melee oriented builds, it would probably work better as a one off one or two tiers higher and if it did a knockback. My experience with Gaige is that you really don't want shit in melee, so if you buff her melee, it really needs to be something that gets shit out of melee range if at all possible. I can appreciate the idea behind make it sparkle, it just doesn't for a fair number of reasons (better off hit hostiles with those shots, which means moving if DT is in the way and then there is the whole anarchy killing your accuracy with close enough only helping to be able to hit hostiles).
Gaige might be a reason for why they stated they won't do character dlcs. I suspect the big reason is the character dialogue, which means having to pay someone more for the work, which might result in a dlc price that people aren't willing to pay for. Also depending on how character interaction works, they might be concerned that things will seem awkward, if the original four characters do have back and forth comments to one another, while that ends up either not existing with the new characters, for lack of better terms hanging dialogue (character says something that clearly would get a response from a character but instead crickets) or you end up with mismatched dialogue). I'm still trying to work out what went wrong with Gaige, I'm pretty sure someone really wanted anarchy, but didn't want to do the work to either make it both optional and first tier.
Granted, I like to think Gaige is the whole reason the new characters are getting three actions skills. Really preempts a dev from designing stuff with the idea that people have to go down a tree a certain amount at the start of the game; especially, since last time I checked, changes to action skills are specific to certain trees.

The way the people that frequent my casino play during the Autumn Festival (now), or Lunar New Year, it winds up being a contact sport.
Earlier this year we had an insult to someone's girlfriend trigger a chain reaction/donnybrook that lead to 18 people escorted off the gaming floor and 2 arrests. There was a fantastic jumping side-kick one guy did after getting a running start from the little soup cart outside the pit that serves Pho.

I know it's a shot in the dark but we don't have any indication that there will be some way to port progress over to Steam once it comes out there? I'm not a big fan of the Epic platform but don't really want to wait.
I'm not 100% certain of this, but I believe that if you have your Steam/PS+/XBL accounts tied to your Gearbox Shift account, they keep a cloud of your characters. I was able to import some of my dudes from god knows where into the Handsome Collection on PS4 when that came out.

That Gamespot video seems kinda bad. At least in regards to their assessment of Amara. They entirely make her out to be a melee character. Yes, that is one of her trees. But they basically gloss right over the fact that she is every bit as much like Maya from BL2 as she is like Krieg and/or Brick. That video talks entirely about playing short ranged and using melee, shotguns, and the brawler tree. Which is literally only 1/3 of what that character can do.
I plan on maining Amara and I also plan on ignoring this melee tree almost entirely, except for maybe a few passives once I start really getting deep into my build. And if I were to watch that Gamespot video as my sole introduction to the character, I would be completely turned off to her.

Course, I also do some android work on the side, so my Chrome has had a bunch of the developer features toggled on for years and I can do tons of crap in the console.

I thought that GS video didn't make a ton of sense as I literally was on that Character Builder all week specifically speccing around a more mid-long range support build.

You're mainly just missing out on a couple cosmetics is all. You can also technically unlock a couple Legendaries that will get mailed to you at level 10, but they all drop in-game so you aren't really missing out on much of anything.

Oh, you took a few points of damage to your shield, got to stop engaging this bad ass and get your shield up to max because buck up is off CD and your shields aren't maxed out!" DT: "Sandworms, in front of Leviathan, I could clear them all out with my exploding clap, but fuck you, gonna dps them down one at a time with my low powered electric shock!"
I have to point out that bloodwing's AI was pretty bad to and some of what DT does is similar to bloodwing's failings from the first game.

Side topic: The hype is real!
It is short and meant to be. It's like a 3 hour romp to setup BL3. Can probably go home and play it and then start BL3 when it unlocks.
Its pretty good. I would recommend finishing it before BL3.
Also don't skip the sidequests.
