Oh I definitely know it's going to come up. It's just every Lightning facebook post about Anything starts with people bitching about the choke. The Lightning post about a charity event for kids cancer, CHOKE YOU SUCK! It wears a bit thin after a while when they do it in every damn post.

There’s really only one solution, as Caps fans who I assume went a year without hearing about never getting out of the second round/past Pittsburgh can tell you.
The dude is talented as fuck and it's impressive to watch him skate, but I feel like if he pulls that shit during a standard NHL season, someone is going to cream his ass into the following week.
While I agree that being insensitive is an issue, so is being oversensitive.

You have to believe there are more than a few defenseman out there just waiting to welcome him to the NHL. And on the flip side. I bet he burns at least one of them.

Yeah, that stuff never happens in the NHL proper...... :?
Canucks and Boeser strike a deal. 3 years, $5,875,000 cap hit. Glad that's over.
I dunno how they negotiated that AAV - that's a solid 1.5m lower than I expected him to get. It feels weird to see Jim Benning complete a contract negotiation without looking like a sucker.
The following year, I believe. NHL and NHLPA have both said they will not opt out of the current CBA, which was set to expire next year, and Seattle did not want to start for a year and then potentially have a lockout or strike, so they set up for after that.
Is my understanding...
I almost got to work on drawings for this project. I guess I wasn't expecting it to take quite that long to do the reno, but I also hadn't realized how far they are going with it. I kind of wonder what the point is in keeping the ceiling at this point.
"I will write your name in the ruin of them. I will paint you across history in the color of their blood."
The man who represents restricted free agents Mikko Rantanen and Patrik Laine says his clients aren't on the verge of agreeing to new contracts with their respective clubs.
"We're not close, how about that? That's about as much as you're going to get out of me," Mike Liut told Sportsnet 650 on Wednesday.
Well that’s reassuring. Sigh....

WTH is it about Tampa that people want to stay there for cheap? The few times I've been there, I've hated the place. It can't be just the taxes (the debate that never ends).

Cap issues and a Bridge contract.
Also ownership that seems to give a shit about spending money on the team, and town that's nuts for them?

yeah the difference is how much Point is going to want 3 years from now. There's going to be a new TV deal, gambling revenue, etc and the cap is expected to increase a ton.
With Marner the Leafs paid extra to not have to worry about his contract for another 3 years after that, during which time it should start to look like a bargain compared to new deals being signed.
Additionally, Point's salary in year 3 is $9 million, meaning his new contract is going to need to start at just over that at a minimum.

You can bet that the Lightning's record tying regular season resulting in zero playoff wins is going to come up from time to time.

As a Sharks fan I know what it's like to have an awesome season only to fall flat in the playoffs

So they have a bit more to go on the construction, as well
