Which is ironic because teferi kinda shuts down a lot of blue stuff

I was pretty sure I was correct that field of the dead would be a card after rotation but I sure wasn’t expecting to hear after a couple of weeks that it’s currently the best deck.
simic flash is a bad deck that does well in bo1, especially if they get a sailor or that one flashy grow boy out early
it gets absolutely obliterated by any deck that can sideboard ceratops or has cheap creatures
EDIT: it is also completely unfun to play against
I mean, my deck mainboards three ceratopses and I still frequently lose to Flash. It's three cards in a deck of sixty, chances are you won't actually draw them.

What's the deck?
Just a pretty basic monogreen stomps. I have decent winrate against flash when I'm on the play, but being on the draw stings really hard, and Nightpack Ambusher is a very significant problem that being monogreen is annoyingly hard to take care of.
Blue is such a shit color right now. Like its literally only good in the gold cards like oko, teferi, and krasus. There arent really any good card draw spells, the counterspells are pretty lackluster, there arent really any combo cards, there arent any merfolk/faeries style tempo/aggro decks. Its probably why all the go big decks can do whatever they want.
There's a good base for Faeries atm for the future if they toss a lord and 1-2 toys in the next sets, I wouldn't mind some Faerie tribal coming back for a bit.
I wouldn't hold my breath on this.
Next sets are Theros (no faeries), then a new world based around kaiju or whatever (faeries seem unlikely), Teferi Core set (maybe here?), then Zendikar (no faeries).
Part of the problem really is krasis. If you can take care of field, youre still going to get rocked by an 11/11 hydra that stabilized their life and put them way ahead on resources and in all likelihood drew them into another krasis. Without that card to stonewall aggro for a couple extra turns, a lot of the ramp decks would kind of fall apart. Like how many times were you one turn from lethal even against 6-8 zombies and a big fat hydra b slams down and put the whole game out of reach?

Krasis is a powerful card and fits what the deck is doing but if you took it out of the format Golos Field would still exist as a deck, whereas if you took Field out of the format Krasis-based midrange decks would exist but not be dominant.

Krasis is not why the deck is so dominant. There are plenty of ways to deal with it. Legion's End can wipe out the Krasis and any Krasis they drew.
The problem is that it is trivial for the deck to get Field of the Dead out and even after playing multiple answers to their deck, all they really need is one FotD on the field and you quickly get turbofucked because while you might draw a single answer or a land, even their "Draw-Go" turns start giving them massive board presence.

Golos is absolutely key for the deck because it basically means you have 8 copies of field to draw into, and that’s not even addressing how the deck utilizes his activated ability unless you have an answer the turn he comes out.
I have played against this deck, had ashiok out, and removed golos with ego and I still lost because they drew into a field and were able to get off a circuitous route while I was replacing ashiok

Why not remove Field with Ego?
Ha ha, ok I'll be honest I didn't realize I actually could.
I thought Ego said "nonland card" but I guess that's on me.

That's fair. I'm pretty sure I got Ego'd once playing Scapeshift and when they removed my Fields I went, "WAIT THEY CAN DO WHAT."

TBF every other extraction effect says "nonland". Ego is the first to not say that (hence the "up to 4 copies" restriction).
field is just not fun to play against, like a lot of the cards in the format
i can't interact with it in any way so there's nothing i can do to change the board state once they have it out. they're inevitably just going to get a free zombie every turn forever and i have to deal with that
I understand blue/white/black forms of control are fun to PLAY and probably good for the game as a whole but jezzy creezy are they unfun to play against. I don't know if it would be better in paper where I could at least talk to the person I'm not really playing magic with or not.

Oh ok as long as it isn’t THIS teferi
It might still be this Teferi.
Or worse.
Teferi ‘s whole thing is the planewalker that is also a dick.
look at the last Teferi
he's only edged out by jace(and that's mostly because mono-color)
and then theres narset...
a single deck played him tho
vintage is the most magic , how garfield truly intended and all

it just takes way, way longer to win without scapeshift and nexus and that sucks ass to be on the other side of the table against it

I disagree. I think Golos might be less powerful, but it'd still be a tier 1 element of the meta.
