I don't remember seeing Gundramon in Cyber Sleuth but much like Pokemon I largely only remember the mons from the first couple seasons/games. Wargreymon is still my peak "Cool!" moment as a kid
Blackwargreymon just getting so tired of his previous ambitions in season 2 was quite the story. IIRC, he has one last fight with Wargreymon because that’s all he knows.
Jeez Digimon is dark. There’s the stuff above, but I’m remembering the D-Reaper from Tamers, which is an Eldritch horror monster whose avatar/one of its power sources is an emotionally broken and abused little girl who blames herself for her mother’s death, fathers neglect, and death of her digimon partner.
I mean yeah, that is what it is, but it then decides to delete our works as well after capturing the aforementioned little girl Jeri.

The only reason Bandai expanded it past the digital pet was Pokemon and there were only like 15 digimon at the time so they kinda rushed about 80 or so into being . Thats why there's no rhyme or reason to what a digimon can be . They are literally just random discarded desgins from various canned projects and outsourced artists.

The poop digimon has an exp boost in Cyber Sleuth, so it's pretty common to be power leveling using an entire team of poop
How are they at, like, actually fighting?
Pretty shitty, I'd guess.
Surprisingly decent, especially since they are usually max level and could have high stats from repeated resets. I'd swap them out for bosses, but they are perfectly serviceable for most everything else.
