For me, probably the one-episode-only OP from Arakawa Under The Bridge, that someone posted earlier during this. I was watching it at a con and got my friends to come join me, telling them the OP was great, and that was the episode they first saw when they sat down. We were all very confused.
Marty: The future, it's where you're going? Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.
Returning to conversation about Baccano and Durarara from earlier:
For me, Durarara is one of the most disappointing series I've ever watched.
Setting is awersome! Characters are all cool! Plot points is interesting!
The problem is that the author does not know when to stop with introducing new characters, so he can focus on deepen the ones we already have - instead, we get approximately 2541636782 cool looking people that we know precisely shit about, except for their appearance and one or two main character traits.
Author seems to think that EVERYONE needs to be crazy in one way or the other, or viewers will not be interested in them. 95 % of characters in this show is simply shallow, and the worst example, in my opinion, is Izaya, who had potential to be the most interesting one from the entire cast. He can just "lol, whatever" and do absolutely anything that plot requires of him, because "duh, I just love humans!" - that's, that's not a real motivation. That's just an excuse for him to do whatever, because otherwise the plot will not happen.
It would be possible to delete maybe 33 % of the characters from the story, and it would not lose anything important.
This fight actually kind of blew me away the first time I saw it. It was like, oh, they were saving their animation budget in the first 30 episodes just for this point.

The initial Hisoka v Gon fight is really good despite my feelings about Gon.

I hate dislike Izaya. I never bought into the narrative that he's some hotshot info broker chessmaster.
So the wrestler pet shop isekai got better. He didnt even molest any animals this episode. I think the first episode was mostly doing it for shock value. Give it another try if you want a comedy.
i don’t even remember much about drrr except i stopped caring about it cause it got boring and they did my girl celty very dirty in putting her in a relationship with the scientist guy

The one-two punch of the reveal that he developed a crush on on her when he was a kid and she was a naked body on a table, followed up by him proposing to her out of nowhere, caused me to nope out hard and never look back

Shinra and Celty have an unusual relationship in a bunch of ways but also kind of love their weird relationship because it feels very honest in the ways that they are selfish about each other.
And I hated Shinra and I hate the fact that his relationship with Celty is shown as something good.
Shinra is a guy who admits with a smile on his face that he
manipulated the love of his life, and she forgives him, because, well, he does love her, and that apparently trumps everything else.
Shinra is also the guy that, after getting a call from hospital from his longtime friend, tells him to screw himself because Celty is much more important than anything else, even showing a bare minimum care for anyone else.
Seriously, fuck this guy, and fuck DRR author for treating all of this as something cute.
Oh they lived happily ever after? I stopped watching DRRR in the second season somewhere when it got really boring. It's very disappointing to hear that that plot thread didn't end with Celty killing him. That would have been a more appropriate ending for a story involving a fae creature being tricked by a human.

Yeah, Smile Bomb is definitely among the best OPs. Hearing the whole thing (the OP is only the first half of the song) adds more meaning, as it becomes very much a love song.
I've been watching some "Get in the Robot" and this is a great dive into Anime in Latin America... What's so great is how on the nose it is about the "Bad dubs and censorship" in the U.S. It was the anime companies themselves that were demanding the cuts from the show in order to get it on TV by any means possible.
It’s a mixed bag, though. Differences in lyric choice and singing quality all over the place.

I started rewatching Kyousougiga because I remembered it being really hard to follow. I don't know why I thought that after nearly finishing it. It has all made sense so far.
Maybe it was because I was watching it as it released each week and I didn't fully remember the previous episodes.

It's amazing how bingwatching a show changes my overall experience of it. Like, RWBY for instance I tend to rag on for the really slow pace of its writing/plot development, but when I get to watch the seasons in "movie" form in itunes, suddenly it flows so much better. Waiting that 1-week gap between short episodes really highlights the story's problems that somehow are lessened when the episodes are happening back to back.
I'm pretty sure there is no healthy romantic relationship in Durarara.
...come to think of it, probably not. I can't really defend Shinra and Celty, but I think it helps that Celty has a lot of control in the relationship, and frequently puts Shinra back in check when he steps out of line(which is often).

It’s also funny.
Nice when a show I planned to ignore ends up being pretty good.
Wow. That takes me back. I used to get that chorus stuck in my head constantly.

such a weird show. I really liked it, and then I was confused, and then I liked it, and then I didn't, and then it ended strong.
So, I'd recommend it overall. It's like an Anime version of Kick Ass...kinda.
