Today I found out that the voice actor for Mista was also the one doing the voices for Six Bullets and I felt this was important information.

I'm showing my brother JoJo for the first time. We just finished up phantom blood. He loves it and we're already replacing our farewells with "GOOD BYE JOJO!"
Hot take: The Stand Virus mentioned in Golden Wind is the Midichlorians of Jojo
Well no because the virus was originally meant to be a big oary of the plot. Fugo was gonna betray the group and probably be the Green day and Oasis fight but Araki decided not to do that
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

That's an entirely different uirusu, eye eye arr sea.
In the work as finished it's still scientificing something originally considered mystical.

Not that virus, the probably-alien one from Greenland that may-or-may-not create stands.
It's definitely got some of those Midichlorian aspects to it, although IIRC much like Midichlorians it doesn't really come up after that and disappears from the story?
I think the virus is supposed to be tied into the extradimensional body swap stuff?
Like I thought the implication was that the virus was some kind of biological weapon that was sent here so that the people who sent it could swap into the place of the inhabitants on earth, and stands were sort of a weird byproduct of its intended purose

Thats sounds more like Junji than Araki

He doesn't use it a single time in Golden Wind! Abandoned!

Jotaro used Star Finger more than Vegeta used Galick Gun in Dragonball Z.
Yet people call the latter his signature move, and laugh at the former for being forgotten.
I personally counted any time Vegeta using a purple beam as him using the Galick Gun in DBZ.
Fair. This could also apply to stuff like Big Bang Attack, Final Flash, Burning Attack, or Hellzone Grenade. I guess the thing is that DBZ just had a lot of one-off moves that became iconic.
Though I guess Hellzone Grenade is more of a 20-Meter-Emerald Splash situation. It’s less of a new attack than it is a new application of a basic one.
But then, Jojo games do similar stuff, seeing as they make movesets out of attacks that generally got used during one fight for a specific purpose.
what's everyone's favorite Jojo look, cause I'm currently thinking about how good Jotaro looks in Diamond is Unbreakable
especially after Stardust Crusaders where I didn't love the art style everything immediately looked extremely good and Jotaro suddenly has the dopest outfit I've ever seen
Yeah diamond is unbreakable goes exactly too far enough, I kinda hate golden wind's fashion a lot and am not a big fan of what snippets of later stuff I've seen.
i enjoy a whole bunch of stone ocean's fashion. like a lot.
steel ball run is a bit of an odd mix because it's like high fashion and also trying to go for period setting clothing so while i like it a lot of the outfits are really, really odd

I’m pretty sure it’s a constant that the character actor also voices the Stand if they speak at all
Star Platinum was voiced by DIO early on in the dub
that's the rule but it isn't a hard rule.

Yeah no that doesn't make sense . I think he just wanted to justify the arrows

There's quite a few "X Man" in Golden Wind, with only one case really justified.
And speaking of Kraft, how about Clockwork instead of Arts n Crafts?
Basically I'm trying to find names that are kinda like the original so they're more fun to say.
Beach Hook is another one. I begrudgingly allow Mirror Man because hey, it literally has the same words as the original.

I mean, Kira’s tie alone
Araki's brain is truly powerful
God, folks, Dio just sucks so much
I mean Jonathan is a big wiener too but Dio, man!
He on the Umbridge level of an effective character.

Working as intended
You thought Umbridge was the worst, but it was me, Dio!
