My wife is making a pumpkin pie for Canadian Thanksgiving tomorrow and she made too much crust so I bought a can of cherry filling and she's making me my very own little cherry pie I'm so excited.
UPDATE:
As we were getting in the car, my wife stumbled on a piece of uneven ground and dropped the pumpkin pie.
It hit the autumn leaf covered dirt on the disposable aluminum pie dish's edge, folding it partially and spilling some of the pie onto the ground.
We gathered the clean pie back into the dish and went off to dinner. When served with the cinnamon whipped cream, the pie was still delicious, despite being very sad to look at.
Also, my sister-in-law's sister made the best cheesecake I've ever eaten in my life

As promised I gorged myself on 2 mcribs, a large fries and 20 chicken nuggers on Friday night. The rest of the weekend was kind of a blur, but I did end up making a bomb ass chili with hot ground pork and chicken on Sunday night so I can only assume magic happened?
I had some ice cream from Jeni's in Columbus here and had half-scoops of PB&J (relatively normal), wildberry lavender (getting weird), and goat cheese and cherry (!!!). The goat cheese one was incredible, the others were also good. I had it with a little waffle cone wedge that was insanely rich and perfect.
