there's a lot more grey in my business than there was in the last one of these threads

I am jealous of that beard, and the fact that your cat seems to enjoy being held like that and doesn't appear to be struggling to be put down.

all my cats do that! they love huggin'

We have two cats. One we got as a kitten and she was used to being picked up, she doesn't mind it at all.

My black cat was a rescue, we think she might have been a stray for about a year before we adopted her. She loves her cuddle time with me, but doesn't like being picked up for it. She'll just headbutt me as I sit at a table or on the couch. If I pick her up or try to flip her on her back, she'll fight to roll over and jump down.

all my keets are rescues and they've learned to just go limp once I get that look in my eye.

    that snuggle look

Beard thread?! I tend keep mine pretty close, though "end of Tuesday" is about the most unkempt it gets.

I think one of the problems was that it started as a way to get folks with prostates to start getting colonoscopies, and then the data supporting increased survival with earlier colonoscopies fell apart and never really came back together.

I'm all about celebrating majestic beards, though.

The folks I know who do it all still do it as a fundraiser and I never knew it was even intended as an awareness campaign because of that, it was always a charitable event when I'd heard it discussed

Though I'd heard Canada usually raises the most money so maybe that plays a part

I do know some of the wisps of facial hair during university were rough to look at, since several of the guys would only ever grow theirs out for November, and have a real Sidney Crosby Playoff look that was just, oof

I still have a beard, it's just shorter

And feels better on my face

My beard hair is really wiry, might be a good word for it

Even with regular conditioning and beard jelly application, it curls into my neck and does it's damnedest to decapitate me if it's long enough to reach

Behold my computer desk selfie! The beards a bit wild, I went as a Forest Druid for Halloween so I haven't trimmed it up much in a couple months. I'll post again at the end of the month once I'm neat and tidy.

The struggle between hating shaving and hating my facial hair usually leaves me on a spectrum of clean-shaven to a three day growth. Except a few times a year, when I try a goatee or a van dyke for a few days before freaking out about lack of symmetry.

your stache is like something i'd expect to see in a portrait of turn-of-the-century european nobility

I don't, that's what has stopped me from growing it out

And my girlfriend really doesn't enjoy it either

I'm sure you eventually get to a point where the hair is out of your mouth and off of your lip, but how long would that be?

    Several months, probably, right?

Yeah, there was a definite middle period where it grows directly into the mouth which is terrible. Took me a few tried before I got past it, I would give up and just trim it down myself between barber visits. I used a lot of mustache wax.

And yeah, anything sandwichy just ends in hair-chewing.

  • bowenbowen How you doin'? Registered User regular
I keep the mustache part of my beard trimmed to like the middle part of my upper lip, are people letting their mustaches grow longer than that? Even Sellek trims his.

not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me

I keep mine even with the top of my lip or it'll grow past my chin in a month

  • FlarneFlarne Registered User regular
Mine's working it's way to the edges of my face right now, it doesn't really grow downwards anymore. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it next time I go to the barber though, we'll see.
