This week’s Beastcast ending on a long discussion of just cool landscapes they’ve seen is the most wholesome thing

so I decided to give Behind The Bastards a shot, and started with the L. Ron Hubbard episodes because those are always fascinating, and I think I just listened to the worst/best segue in the history of podcasts?
Evans was talking about the Purification rundown and how people have died from it, specifically the absurd overdoses on vitamin supplements
"so... don't do that. Don't give people fatal doses of vitamins for no good reason.
but you know what you should take fatal doses of... that's not the right way to introduce ads.
you know what you should take the right amount of.. is the ads... that we have...
There were some good episodes! But it’s just... I never found either of the two hosts funny, and a lot of the time their dumbass jokes got in the way of the actual interesting part of the podcast.
Yeah, as much as I enjoyed learning about weird and obscure history, the Dollop hosts were completely insufferable.
Robert Evans has his quirks, but he’s more low-key and actually very smart.
There are a few guests that Robert has on the show who seem to think it’s their job to constantly interrupt him and guide the conversation. They bum me out a bit but usually the guests are very good
I like Billy Wayne Davis, because not many podcast guests would instantly be down to play tennis with big knives and a VHS copy of Basic Instinct that was found in a dump somewhere.
Billy Wayne Davis is willing to say fuck over and over while audibly driving a dagger into a VHS copy of Basic Instinct while you read about babies poisoned by homeopathy
Broke as fuck in the style of the times. Gratitude is all that can return on your generosity.
I have rarely heard Dan McCoy disengage harder than he disengages with this newest Flop House
It's weird how inconsistent Dan is. You can usually be pretty sure what you get with a Stuart or an Elliot, but Dan definitely has more off days. Which is totally fine! He's just really good when he's present and on point.
I loved how he was the most willing to very explicitly say how vile he found the Death Wish remake to be, for example.

It was the guest who said this one and not Dan but London Crawling is going to be a joke that I use for a long time.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!
Just got served a minute and a half ad for G2A, professionally shot and shit. I skipped it as soon as I could but it was passing them off as a totally legit service with the tagline "Paying too much? You're getting ripped off."
Long answer: during last year's episode on Ang Lee's Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, the BC boys and JD Amato kept referring to the episode as "Talkin' the Walk." The bit evolved into "Talkin' the Walk 2018," Griffin insisted they should have shirts made, they kept joking about a "Talkin' the Walk 2019." They apparently spent all year trying to come up with ideas as to what that could even mean, and as of a few weeks ago, they still hadn't settled on anything, but the year's almost over and they had scheduled Talkin' the Walk 2019 as the November Patreon bonus episode

Listening to the new Blank Check, and this is definitely the first I’ve heard of Crawl, which is apparently a movie that came out this year and did pretty well

I'm gonna eat a dorito, and you guys can
here's some ads that paid us."
EDIT: Also, I just started listening to the Homeopathy episodes. I'm glad Billy Wayne Davis is guesting on this one, because I love his voice.

Does Dan Ryckert realize that game stars his father? Like at the end Sam Bridges needs to retire and sell baseball cards on ebay.
The Rube is my favorite go to.

"Big John and Harvey's Casino" and "The Baron of Arizona" are also excellent.
Defunctland did a video on action park but he is far, far to clinical when describing that amazing train wreck.

I’ve tried arguing with her about it multiple times before, and I’ve just given up at this point.
It's the catchiest terrible song I've ever heard. Which kinda makes it even worse.
Maybe if you argued less it'd be more effective.
I'm dying at their voice for Selim Bradley and I hope they keep it up all the way through the rest of 5 Grams of Iron.
first of all, Talking the Walk 2019 is apparently going to be recorded while actually walking
secondly, how are Griffin Newman and JD Amato not America's favorite comedy duo on look alone
Now I'm angry.
