Although, TV shows portraying people with rent controlled apartments as if they're getting away with some amazing grift is a real shitty thing that runs deep. I'm pretty sure every sitcom with a nice apartment has made rent control into a shitty punchline at some point and it really is weirdly gross.

I liked the Sissy Spacek episode a lot. And the rest existed kinda boringly but with a neat initial hook. Except the ending which was trash and a half.
