@cristoval i will field a team of only the hunkiest pokemon
in memory of camp counseling
Well that's basically impossible because Wigglytuff isn't in the game so
But I appreciate the sentiment all the same!

The Chosen are some right bastages, I tell ya whwat.
And I didn't realize the DLC came with basically the entire TNG cast as hero units.

It took me four attempts to finally finish off the assassin last night. In my haste to spam grenades at her I forgot to pack more than one medkit so basically save-scummed the entire mission

I am starting to get the feeling that this game is FUBAR'd because I am two pips from having the avatar thing done, the critical "Hey you need to stop the enemy to get rid of their buff" mission popped up and I still need to finish establishing contact and then destroy the blacksite to remove some progress
Like holy shit the avatar progress just fuckin shoots up in the DLC

Welp, there are gifts on their way! That'll learn my recipient for signing up! Look what your actions have wrought! Gaze upon my machinations and despair!

One thing I got schooled on in the PC Games thread is that when the avatar project pips hit the end then it just turns into a 1-week countdown timer. You then have enough time during that timer to do something which then puts it back to 1-pip to go and the countdown timer again.
It'll take a couple of restarts to get a good thing going though - there's plenty of covert ops you can do to slow progress down as you make contact with the reapers, etc
I'm on my fourth run-through and I've still not left the continent I started on, but the avatar project is 4-blocks full at the moment. Which isn't bad seeing as how I just unlocked plasma weapons / powered armour

I feel like I just hit that critical point where the game becomes much easier, suddenly I have way more structures, a full squad, new weapons, and all my guys are full of piss and vinegar and stims
Edit: oh my God a Lost mission when you have someone with bladestorm is HILARIOUS

Work has been super long and challenging this week and I just walked in the door feeling beat as hell, but saw a box at the door.
This game looks rad and the included message from @Heffling promises a "couple" of favorites like a generosity threat.
It may be a bit before I get to play with Luca, but I might bust it out this weekend if my friend and his family get through D&D character creation and want to try it out.

Woke up to some gifts! A great way to start the week
A pair of Sketchers slip-on sneakers, which I desperately needed (my old sneakers were almost completely fallen apart), Hide-a-Squirrel, my dog Iris's favorite toy (she likes the little squeaky squirrels, Maple likes to chew the tree), and a Petco gift card!
The sneakers and toy said they were from @Heffling , the gift card just said secret saint. Thank you both so much! There is already one casualty in the squirrels. I didn't even really get to give them to Iris, she just snatched it out of my hand and went to town
And with that, you've cleaned out my amazon wishlist! I didn't think you'd do it, but ya did, ya magnificent bastards!
I honestly was not expecting this much generosity. To see fellow forumers be generous towards little old me, it fills me with... well, it makes me want to do better by me and by others!

Hollow Knight turns out to be a good game that I am good at but also cannot play for extended lengths of times because of how it hurts my hands.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Three large boxes of treats (one box filled the whole treat jar) that my dogs will try to finish as soon as possible, and two retractable leashes! The leashes were unexpected but welcome, our last one broke probably over a year ago and we never got another. Now we have one for each dog and they feel pretty good quality
Thanks, Heffling! My dogs have already had two treats each and they thank you as well
This is awesome! I don't know who it is from but thank you!
I've never done a model kit like this before but I've always wanted to try.... I hope this is the basic one...
It's from me. You had a ton of finished DC and Marvel statues, but I thought you might like to try building your own instead. The HG Revive RX-78-2 "Granddaddy" Gundam is one of their simpler kits, designed with a decent amount of details and some of the best articulation you can get. I hope you enjoy it and all the tools needed to build it.

You had sneakers and treats on your list, and I saw from the pics that your dogs had solid collars. All you were missing for good walks in the evening were some good leashes.
FYI I use the same leashes on my dogs, including a 90 lb lab/husky mix, so I know they hold up for years.

>Acquire new controller
>Acquire new hands
It's an issue with my hands/joints cause of the crohn's. Like, for example, I can't hold a guitar hero controller for more than a minute without my hand wanting to die.

Got a big ol' bag of dog food from a mystery saint (not bothering with a picture because...it's dog food)
This was on the shopping list for tomorrow and now it doesn't have to be! Thanks a ton!
My dogs are making out like bandits and they're loving it. I took them for a walk today for the first time in a while; I didn't use the new retractable leash (they were on a harness connector and they would have tangled me up) but the new sneakers felt great while walking!

Got more gifts!
More hide-a-squirrel (I'll save for Christmas as the current one will definitely be destroyed by then)
Stuffingless squeaky toys (Maple's favorite)
Cow hooves (dogs love 'em)
Another Petco gift card (savin' them up)
A Visa gift card (I'm unemployed so extremely useful)
They came in two different packages and only one had a gift note that was anonymous so I don't know who to thank
But fuckin' thank you to whoever. My dogs are so happy which makes me happy. Thank you!

Later worknight last night (but, hey, I was at least conducting interviews to fill my understaffed store yesterday and feel kinda good about 2 people), but came home to find another board game and realized I must have cockles, cuz them shits was warmed. I really hope to be in a position to be on the other side of charity soon, but seeing y'all's support in action feels really god damn sweet and I'm not crying, you're crying.
Haven't played this, but I know quite a few folks who love it. It also seems like the perfect game for Luca by this time next year. It brought back really fond memories of playing Pente, Backgammon, or Othello with my dad as kid, even if the jerk insisted on gloating with songs every time he won (3 games to none, 3 games to none, doot doot da do dada dada doo...)

They are currently chewing and so happy
I will savor every can of that Hoptometrist.
Holy shit you rule.
I will be very responsible with my bees
A mortar and pestle! This is actually gonna be a Christmas gift for my roommate who said he's wanted one for years. The box feels hefty
No name on the note, so thank you Saint!
(product image because it came in a plain brown box)
A Bissell Cleanview Pet swivel vacuum!
I've got two dogs and my Oreck wasn't cutting it. I'm a weirdo who likes vacuuming so this is perfect for me. I honestly can't wait to use it.
No gift note since it came in the factory box, so holy shit thank you whichever Saint got it for me! My allergies will be much better now
