    Some games certainly make more of an effort to streamline their rules and marry theme and mechanics in a way that makes it easy to understand and retain the rules.
    Some games are just too ambitious and confusing, with more moving parts and resources types or currencies than they need.

    Yeah, but in this one the characters that all head up your team cost tens to hundreds of dollars each and you need multiple.

    Also they're awkward, jumbo sized foils that will warp and bend unless you buy specialty sized card sleeves for them.


    It has some great ideas, but was designed to exploit your wallet even more than a lot of other CCGs are.
