Yep, Dynamics is fine too, just the surrounding support is worse (fewer independent shops/consultants/integrations) and less robust training. If you're a hard MS shop - definitely give it a look, but given timetable it's about ease. Also CRM is clearly not incredibly core, so realistically the easiest solution that doesn't break the bank is the right choice as the best tool will be one you don't even think about.
I just had to ask my sup a question and when I went into his office he had headphones on and I looked and he had YouTube open listening to a Joe Rogan podcast and... Fuck me... Of course he did.
Not even the common decency to be watching vintage Canadian pornography, eh?

Meh, I like listening to music at work, but anything with words distracts me and I can't concentrate on work.
Same, I mean, I wish I had the ability to listen to podcasts or audiobooks while I worked, but then my Journal Entries would look like:
CR - $15,000 - Rent to yes, I killed him! Screamed the murderer
Heck a lot of the time I find music too distracting
Anya is the opposite, she used to scream and procrastinate on her homework until I decided to try letting her borrow my headphones and phone and listen to music, and now she gets through her homework lightning fast
I can't listen to podcasts while I work, since typically I get distracted by people talking
If I do listen to music I can tune out the words enough, at least. But a lot of the time I just listen to weirdo vaporwave shit that has no vocals anyway.

User: The new color MFP sucks! I sent a print job last week and it never printed, so I sent it again today and it STILL hasn't printed.
Me: Here's like 50 full color flyers that were sitting on the machine when I came in this morning at 730. And there's more coming out, although a bit slowly...
User: Why is it so slow? This machine sucks.
Me: I want to ask why you're printing a 47GB file 50 times, but more than that I need to know HOW THE FUCK YOU MADE A SIMPLE ONE-PAGE FLYER BE 47GB!?
Have they got the resolution of their work set to something stupid like 9600 DPI?
Ultra high resolution, and it was like 85 ft x 110 ft or something, being forced to 8.5x11 inch paper. And there were animated gifs so I guess it was trying print every frame? I don't know. I scanned one of the copies and sent them a <1mb pdf to use.
I...was joking about the GIFs.
Good opportunity to remind folks this ONE WEIRD OFFICE TRICK
You can rename modern Office documents (.docx, .xlsx, etc.) to .zip and open the zip file to view all the media contents. This can help figure out why files have ballooned in size! (Make a copy of the original before you mess with it though)

Meh, I like listening to music at work, but anything with words distracts me and I can't concentrate on work.
This is why I love Lofi Hip Hop, but find it occasionally jarring when it includes snippets of melodramatic anime dialogue.
YouTube music gets on runs where it'll serve me songs that are LoFi beats with what sounds like loud, hardcore rap lyrics in non-english languages. Usually either Spanish, Russian, or Arabic.
It's too loud here to listen to podcasts and actually pay attention to what's being said. It's not loud enough to play music quietly in the background though. I've found myself to be the most productive when listening to Jazz.
I wish jobs had like maternity/paternity leave for people with pregnant dogs. My parents male dachshund got the female dachshund pregnant back in October and we took her to the vet today and she is apparently due in the next 17 days.
Also might be having 9 puppies and I don't understand how she is fitting so many.
Yea, this is pretty accurate after seeing the xray of the puppies.

I would listen to anything when I was at Walmart. Black Library came out with the audio dramas which are interesting to listen to after I got put on Cap 2
Thank you my family member for choosing beer and coffee claiming $60 is a lot for you instead of my plead for to pay for my phone I even sited I paid for yours 3 times and helped you with a problem for 2k 2 years ago

Passed first part of the goddamn bar exam today. Now I just need to kick somebody’s ass in court.
Does it have to be a legal battle? Or can you invite your old middle-school bully to court, then fuck them up good?

I just had to put up a tripping hazard sign on our back door until we can get the threshold replaced, and I think I've found a new favorite Hazard Guy.
He's just wonderfully kinetic, and conveys a profound sense of "Oh shit!"
Nothing like finding an old Notice Of Appearance from a departed secretary with a note saying "we served plaintiff's counsel, they will let us know when they open the case with the court"
Cue a bunch of searching across the court to see if they ever actually DID file it. Thankfully it looks like they never got around to it.

Attention wretched teens: I'm not sure you realize how much you need to smell like weed to get kicked out of a public library for smelling like weed. Please do not waste everyone's time by arguing that it's Swisher smoke.

Big corporate inspection scheduled for today. Been expecting them since this morning. Guess who I walk pass heading out to my car?
it took me nearly six hours but I finished a thing
and now I'm trying to decide if I start on another thing or go to the gym or go to a lifedrawing session (the latter is less tempting because it means walking a long way in the snow but otoh would be a nice break)
It's now been a week since I was paid thousands of pounds more than I should've been.
Turns out that anyone on parental/maternity leave has been paid too much including one officer who was paid over £7000.
Payroll (outsourced to a company several counties away) will only deal with me via email which they've obviously not replied to.
I have no idea what I should've been paid. So everything is going on the credit card or my wife is paying for it.
Fully intend on getting any credit card charges/interest payments refunded to by work.
Last year they paid everyone a week late! When I started this job they calculated my shift payments wrong so I was earning hundreds of pounds less that I should've.
Last year they forgot to pay everyone's student loan, so whilst we were having the money deducted it wasn't being sent to the student loans company.
A few months ago they "upgraded" the systems which resulted in childcare payments not being paid to childcare providers meaning they wouldn't look after the kids of staff until it was resolved! Some staff didn't even get paid meaning they had to get emergency loans from work.
I know this doesn't need saying but don't outsource payroll!
Uber just sent out an email to drivers in California detailing the first round of changes they're making to the platform to attempt to comply with (or to help tie up in litigation) AB5 when it takes effect on the 1st of the new year.
They're giving back complete ride info to every driver in CA before you accept the trip. They had previously reduced the available info to the passenger's rating, surge amount (if applicable), time to pick-up location, and if the ride will be over 45 minutes long. Now we'll see estimated trip distance, time, fare (post-commission), and exact drop off location, in addition to that other info.
Acceptance rate (number of trips taken vs. number offered) is no longer tracked and no longer factors into any promotions or Uber Pro status.
They're rolling out a "favorites" feature so that drivers can get the first chance to grab scheduled rides from passengers that previously rated them 5-stars and made them a favorite driver.
All of these are positive changes for drivers and I do think they work towards making drivers fit a more typical independent contractor model, but they're not quite there yet. Uber would also still have to argue they're not a transportation company, but rather a tech services company that offers transportation services. We'll see how that goes if they end up in court.
There's also this ominous "some upcoming changes will take some time to get used to" line in the email...

Tragically, I didn't think about that until about an hour ago. They were on a computer that wouldn't let them sign in if they were over seventeen, and they showed me the pack as an alibi.

The fucking circles they will dance through to attempt to convince a judge they are not a transportation services company is staggering, and very stupid. If it looks like an apple, tastes like an apple and smells like an apple, it's an apple.
Had I known this alarm was a 30 minute drive in the middle of fuck ass nowhere held in the system for hours, I would have had different words when I picked it up from you.

Yeah, you're supposed to try to absorb as much of the impact from a fall with your face!
Still haven't heard anything from my interview two weeks ago. They said they would let us all know if we made it to the next round. Fingers crossed and all that. Also my desk has been moved again again. And now they aren't sure if I'm moving to the original final destination they had in mind for me because of reasons.
I wish they would just let me work from home. If one one person thanks me for being "flexible" (as if I had a choice) I might scream, and do a crab walk out the door

Which, yeah, usually ends up absorbing the impact of the fall with your face.
Update: hella sick.
