See, "gamer snacks" is at least a reasonable marketing ploy. Exploitative, sure, but logical.

This is in the tier of the Gilette Gamer Razor. There's no point in it, except for markup

LRR's CheckPoint also had a bit on these shoes. Apparently they have a big warning on the box describing them as "for indoor use only".

    Incredible.

Fine as the comic might be, it was one-upped by the title.

All I can think of is for VR, but usually for VR I prefer to be barefoot. Gives you a better feeling for where you are in the room proper, so you don't walk into a wall if you don't notice your warning lines.

Its less products in general and more indoor gamer shoes, like gamer shoes? Why WHY!?

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

I love the feature list too, like "3d molded". Literally everything that has ever been molded has been 3d molded. Humanity does not have the option of ignoring the 3rd dimension.

I love everything about this strip.

I’m also glad I’m out of touch enough to have no idea about a gaming shoe.

With our gaming shoes, plus this $10,000 gaming treadmill, you'll be ready for the sequel to Konami's 1983 arcade classic "Track & Field."

Irony, given how PA is almost entirely a 2D enterprise.

You're edging toward a Mitch Hedberg joke there. We the right delivery, it would totally work.

It’s “Gaming” air in a different sense of the word, but Vegas has infused oxygen bars on the some of the casino floors. The idea being, I suppose, that a momentary oxygen high makes you feel like you’re sobered up and ready to impair your judgment some more until you start throwing deeds and titles on the table.

For a second I thought you were for some reason making a sort of cross-game joke and referencing FFXI, because Juneau sounded so familiar, then I remembered the central city in that game is spelled Jeuno.

Ironically, I found out today that Puma's not the only one. Apparently Zippo has a gaming division, too (yes, that Zippo):

One day Konami will remake Track & Field... in HD...as a slot/pachinko machine.

That is absolutely baffling. Are you supposed to just hold it during loading screens? Obviously you'd have to let go of the controller or mouse... Has anyone anywhere ever had an issue with cold hands when they are gaming?

I guess this fits their MO. This product is to dollar-store glove warmers as Zippos are to BIC.. At least Zippo lighters have cool engravings most of the time.

It surprised me but cold hands are an issue in pro gaming. If you look at LoL players between games or during pauses you seen them all hold or playing with hand warmers.

I would guess that some pro gamer heard from his doc that warm joints moved better than cold ones and started using a hand warmer. Everyone else thought that was crazy, but on the off chance there was something to it they bought some too. Years later everyone does it and nobody knows why.

Or they all have carpal tunnel and heat makes it feel better.

That at least sorta makes sense. Pro gamers, especially in arenas with lots of AC due to crowds tend to get cold hands since the stage is way colder due to fewer people. Like if you watch OWL the players and crew are generally all wearing long sleeves all the time and all the players are holding hand warmers during downtime.
My hands and feet get super cold during the winter. I often wear fingerless gloves when gaming or playing piano because my hands won't stay warm enough on their own.

I got cold hands when I first played Arkham Asylum because I got so engrossed I forgot that I was in an unheated bedroom with an open window in winter
