@Quid if you own all the xpacs already you can unlock Samurai and Red Mage now. Same with Gunbreaker and Dancer as soon as you get something else to 60. The three Heavensward jobs are the only ones that require you to get into their respective xpac.
But yeah, unfortunately if you're really jonesing to play AST you're going to have to get through all the 2.X patch content first.

Uh no that's just bad luck. It's really just the Alliance Roulettes where that happens because the difficulty difference between the 2.0 series and the 3.0 series is vast, and 4.0 is even harder.
Not that the 3.0/4.0 raids are actually all that hard, the 2.0 ones are just that easy.
How can people have 1k of an item like Ice Cluster on the market board, while the acquisition sounds like a headache++? I think I'm missing something vital here, are they easy to grab as an FC mission?
The best way I've found to get clusters is aetherial reduction. You gather collectibles from ephemeral nodes and then use the aetherial reduction skill on them. You have a chance to get a bunch of crystals or clusters as well as aethersand which is also very important for high level crafting.
It still takes a while, but it's not near as bad as it used to be when you would have to harvest crystals like a normal item.
Also, max-level gatherers have skills that will greatly increase the yield of crystals/clusters specifically, so you can get a lot from one node if you choose to harvest them directly.
gpose is really great but it would also be nice to have a selfie pose to use with it as if we were holding up a tomestone and taking our picture like a smartphone
