    Jumanji: The Video Game

Uh... no? Presumably anyone who would be interested in this is aware of what happens if you play this?

Especially since I believe the recent Jumanji movie basically reveals that the Jumanji game shifts into whatever childrens' toy is popular at the time. Hence it's a board game in the first movie and a video game in the one with Jack Black and the Rock in it.

...not that board games were that popular when the original was made...

Oh, wait. Back in the 50s when the movie begins maybe?

I was a kid when Jumanji came out and the kids in my neighborhood played a pretty even split of videogames / board games / running around outside like hooligans. I never questioned it then.

It's cool, it just operates under Dresden Files rules and they're spreading out the magic to dilute it so it won't work.

I do wish Nintendo still listed what was on sale each week, rather than the "find it yourself" boilerplate they copy-paste into each update.

I wish the NA eShop showed the how long sales last on the big list like the JP shop does, instead of having to go into the game pages themselves. Also noticed the wish list button has been changed to a heart.

It's great to see so many indie titles get a shot with Nintendo, but I always comb through the list, see the big first party title Nintendo puts out each month, and ignore the rest.

There are very few times when I see something else in the list that excites me, like RomSaga 3 last week.

After this week with Pokemon dropping, I think the next big game for the Switch for me is the 3D remake of Trials of Mana unless a surprise drop of Metroid 4 or Bayo 3 happens.

Picked up Mad Age & This Guy because for 4 cents why not. It's not bad! A single player bomberman-style puzzler which is actually a bit challenging because its hard to predict enemy movement. I could have def spent a couple bucks on it instead and still felt it was worth it.

It feels very similar to Pro Wrestling only with the standard arcade upgrade polish. Better music, graphics, mechanics, and in-game presentation.

I got to see Speaking Simulator at PAX South, and it's hilarious. Basically you're an alien running a human robot, and you have to control the movement of your jaw and tongue to say stuff like "yes, I am totally human" so you don't arouse suspicion.

Incidentally, PAX South concentrates on indie games, and damn near EVERY indie game shown is coming to Switch.

If you haven't played Aviary Attorney already, consider picking it up on Switch. It's like an 1850s French version of Phoenix Wright with birds and wolves.

Oh man, that's out? I met the guy who made it about two years ago and he was sort of just getting into it. He was working in the same place as my brother and my friends at the time. We went to lunch and he told me about it. It's been on my list since then. Glad he finally got it out.

It's a shitton of games and they bothered to localize twelve or so games that never came to the west into English, so they certainly put the effort in.

i broke down and bought Alliance Alive even though i have it on the 3ds. The sales price was good and i really like that game...If you like jrpg saga style combat/leveling experience, definitely worth the price!

Doing my weekly check of the NA and JP eShops and uh, wow, that De:Yabatanien on the JP upcoming list is certainly something. It's the first time I noticed a game on the shop was rated CERO Z (18+). I recall @baudattitude mentioned there were other games on the shop that were also rated CERO Z for violence, though I don't remember seeing anything that looked like barely disguised torture porn like one. It's all pixel art, but still.

Edit: Also, looks like someone might beat Nintendo to putting a 3D Picross(-like) game on the Switch.
