my only problem with the casting is that duncan is supposed to be lithe and "cat-like" which noted giant man jason momoa is not

but he is a kinda goofy charming ladies man that you totally wanna just get a beer with

I don't need a Dune adaptation to be an exact copy of the book, and casting noted charming giant Jason Momoa as Duncan at least suggests they're gonna do him better than in any previous adaptation

But the cool thing is if he wants and the movies are good, he'll be the protag of his own films later on.

Yeah I mean Frodo should have been played by Ian Holms if you're going to go by book descriptions.

my Lynch journey ends tonight with his most important creation:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11p0y9z1XOU

this 20 minute video about how he likes to make quinoa

    also I watched Inland Empire

I don't know what happened in Inland Empire but I can tell someday I'm gonna be on some real bullshit all calling it a masterpiece

that day's not today, I only learned reading the Wikipedia page that apparently the movie had a villain, but it's coming

anyway, good director, good flicks, gonna watch them all again on my phone someday

The only Lynch's I haven't seen are Eraserhead, Fire Walk With Me, and Inland Empire. I think the only one I didn't love was Dune, but even then, wow, they got David Lynch to be David Lynch in the direction of Dune.

I probably should watch Fire Walk With Me to sort out how I feel about Twin Peaks: The Return.

    Nah.

Even described by the people who enjoyed it, that movie is not in my wheelhouse

I know it's easy to be curmudgeonly about young people musics, but this is pretty incredible, and a really really good fit for to take on a Bond theme:
