Good for him! I hope gets it, be one reason to watch these stupid games.
Friendly reminder!
Chad Ochocinco was a fucking hero, but he DID commit domestic abuse, after previously publicly commenting on how he would never ever commit domestic abuse.

the only way the XFL wins is if they have guaranteed contracts
Winning means existing. They’re not trying to compete with the NFL. The XFL will won if they avoid burning through too much money too quickly to fold after a year.
I'm both blindsided and not at all shocked by Kuechly's retirement. I'm sad but also in the back of my head thinking, good for him. We owe him a ring. I hope he comes back and does some coaching cause he's a damn genius.
They need to rethink the Hall of Fame too. Don't punish guys like Kuechly and Willis because they got out while they could still walk without a cane.
Kuechly played eight years, made the Pro Bowl seven of them, was All-Pro in seven of them, was a defensive rookie of the year, was a defensive player of the year the very next year (remains the youngest one ever btw), and is one of two LBs ever to have minimum 1000 tackles/12 sacks in under 120 games and that's with three injury-filled years where he didn't even get to play every game
Luke's getting in the Hall, and he's retiring one of the best Panthers ever. I really don't think that's in dispute
There is this tenuous point in American capitalism where you make too much money to get any assistance at all but you don't make enough money to get by without the assistance.
This just reminds me of that.

Fucking hell... This is a take I read on FB today
"Hate to say it, but I think we need to start paying these guys less. It’s reached a point where these 29-30 year old guys can retire as extremely wealthy and young businessman and you look at guys just 15-20 years ago like Jerry Rice and Bret Favre who played forever.
The money was just a bit less so they kept playing.
I mean you’ve got Brees and Brady still playing while guys like Andrew Luck step away from the game."
Let's not make the game safer to prolong careers. Let's pay them less so they have to keep sacrificing their health for our entertainment.

It hits to the core of a lot of different issues in the US. In many ways a lot of our problems all boil down to an utter lack of empathy in all things and in a distressingly large amount of people. People are inherently selfish which already puts things behind the 8-ball. With empathy, that can be overridden to some extent to either understand what the person is dealing with (at least enough to not throw out bullshit hot takes if nothing else). Without it, you get “Murica”. That mentality of fuck you got mine. Indignation towards the success of another and derision for the choices they make in their best interest because they refuse to see that, and would rather tear someone down, call them “unmanly”, and so on.
It blew my mind because I never even considered that. My mind just doesn't work that way.
Yep, that’s it in a nutshell. A fundamental disconnect in a large portion of people, and if you aren’t one of them, it’s nigh impossible to understand their point of view because it’s A) abhorrent and not something you can even comprehend. It’s upsetting.

How dare you John Elway has a monogamous wood relationship with Drew Lock.
Budweiser found the guy that gave up his beer and us gonna hook him up with stuff. Beer presumably.

He’s going to be both a kicker and an esports pro?

Burrow looks older than him.

Seems like Kuechly has been in the league forever. Thought he was older than 28
Gates, too
