I think anax might be the best card in the set. The card is Nissa tier, color defining, good. You don't even care about multiples because playing a second will create 4 1/1s.

My last two 7-x ranked draft decks have had 0 rares/mythics. I'm not sure what that means, other than that I keep opening duds like Eidolon of Mild Planeswalker Inconvenience

My favourite so far has been someone flashing a minions return on a creature about to be destroyed.

Can someone share with me what the current super duper meta deck is? I'm a bit out of the loop.
The other big one that I was actually referring to was temur reclamation.
The deck is a monster and one of the dumbest kind of decks. It just says "no" a bunch of turns and then OTKs you.
RDW is there to try and go under it. Azorious control feels like it actually has the better chance of the two against it however with RDW shooting more to go under Azorious.

I like the looks of this - I've got a Heliod/Aristocrat deck I've been tinkering with, I think I'll try swapping out the cats for Hushbringers.

I've been messing around with this deck which was featured on MonoBlackMagic's Youtube channel. It's hilarious! When you get the combo off, and have 7 or more 1 dmg pings on the stack, then Ob Nixilis gives of the best evil laugh ever :rotate:
I messed around with the mana a bit since I was having problems getting the right mix of colors in my opening hand. There's also 61 cards, but just cut the Folio.

Kinda funny facing a ramp deck, letting them ramp and it just not matter.
Using Sorin3 to buff Pontiff and chip away, Dire Moon vamp to sack and give pontiff indestructible if needed, then Sorin4 to bring back Dire Moon for deathtouch blocking.
It's kinda funny facing a Sorin deck and exiling their graveyard so he just sits there getting loyalty tokens.
Literally the only reason I have Dawm of Hope in there haha.

So for the Theros Mastery, one of the levels' reward is entry to a traditional draft.
Just got to 6 wins in mine for 2100 gems and 6 packs, on top of the cards from my deck which included some constructed playable rares. Pretty solid return on investment there already, I'd say.

I'd rather they have more gems baked in as opposed to gambling chits. BUT! I did still like getting one.
So playing Wednesday Brawl with the Gitrog Monster, I'm not sure that it's actually good when it's basically removable by any other commander and you can't play lands from your graveyard.
That said, when you get Gitrog Frog out with Underrealm Lich and you can draw your entire deck, it's almost like playing EDH. Almost.
Finally ended up using my Traditional Draft entry token. I finished the run pretty good at 4-2. I'm satisfied with that and had a good time!
I thought I would end up picking sub par cards, but R/W colors lined up perfectly and my rares were awesome.
I went on the play EVERY single one of those matches! My loses were to opponents with really good black removal spells though :bigfrown:
They're doing 2 weeks on/2 weeks off with draft, since their numbers showed people actually played it less when it was available all the time. Given how horribly I've been abused by my opponents in the last 2 I've done, I welcome "more people who are hopefully not all of a massively higher rank than I am".
i had just over 100k gold saved and have enough for one more left so i've probably done 23-24 drafts? i've no idea how to extrapolate a win rate from that?
i never got the hang of the b/r sac theme, i loved the r/g decks impending doom on a nexus wardens is my fave thing to do

Yea the bolded is what totally sucks right now.
Especially since if you want to be anything but one of those 3 it feels like they are just too far away to feel even a little bit good and fun.
And yea it may be reversed. My data was just from watching a bunch of Diamond+ games very early on. It may have settled even more by now. But the person I was watching only had 1 lost match as Temur and that was against azorious after some very long grindy games. But not a single RDW (or anything else)managed to take a match against him.
Playing Brawl and everyone is either playing agro or that one Golos deck that scoops when you steal his Field of the Dead.

Pretty sure I hit mythic last Wednesday with it? But I haven't played much since then so keep in mind it probably needs updated. Thing about Bo1 is you really have to pre-board against whatever the meta as it changes. I was facing like 50% aggro, 30% control, and 20% rando stuff/temur. The list I was playing tried to favored vs aggro but still have game against the other half of the field with chemisters insights and narsets.

I don't really enjoy playing the deck, but I really hate playing reclamation decks and I really really hate playing RDW. So I'll probably just abandon this set until something changes. I wish they'd go back to a lower powered set like GRN.
Game feels too much like, "Blockers? Pfft, I play EMBERCLEAVE! I WIN!" It's pretty fun to do high powered stuff the first 10 times and then after that you realize that blockers don't mater anymore and the game is less interactive.
I was watching saffron olive play some bant monstrosity with kraken and emergency powers. But during the video it really looked like emergency powers should be ran in azorious decks, because that card would make sphinx super huge, and if you chained a couple of them together with the addendum then its a combo kill.

Putting Embercleave on a hasted Drakuseth is a one hit kill (assuming you can aim the 4 damage at their face and use the 3 damage shots to clear blockers out of the way), so bounce spells might not be necessary; you could just stick to mono-red and use burn or Tibalt to deal with incidental lifegain.
Pulling off the Purph/Enbercleave/Drakuseth combo is still tough though; you need Purphoros to stick, have both Embercleave and Drak in hand, and have 8 mana to activate him and cast Embercleave.
I have lost 100% of the games I have played this evening, and only one of them was to a deck that actually led to an interactive game. I did, however, complete 2 dailies.
Someone please tell me I did not waste my time and frustrate myself for nothing tonight.

Purphoros + Drakuseth + Embercleave + Bounce spell (if necessary).
