My wife discovered Cells at Work without knowing anything about it.
I think it's her favorite show now.
Code black is quite the read if you like cells at work. Hopefully it gets a proper anime. I dunno if that animated PV they did say for a series or just to hype the manga.
I am starting to like Konosuba much much more now that I am further into it
Megumin is surprisingly endearing, and much cooler looking than I expected once she takes her hat off
Kazuma definitely reads like the Straight Man, and I do enjoy how capable he is when he's not being either a jerk or incredibly selfish. The idea of him just picking up a bunch of different handy skills is cool
Darkness is absolutely my favourite character, I just wish she didn't have a goddamn boob plate because they will forever annoy me
Aqua I feel bad for, but she really does constantly make her own situation worse, and I am curious why her powers sometimes just... don't work

Knowing Darkness, the boob plate was entirely intentional.

Continuing to research how much of a light novel series various anime series covered, here's what I got so far:
Cautious Hero = Light Novels 1-2
Chivalry of a Failed Knight = Light Novels 1-3
DanMachi (Season 1) = Light Novels 1-5
DanMachi (Season 2) = Light Novels 6-8
The Devil is a Part-Timer = Light Novels 1-2
Kokoro Connect = Light Novels 1-4
Konosuba (Season 1) = Light Novels 1-2
Konosuba (Season 2) = Light Novels 3-4
Konosuba (Film) = Light Novel 5
Overlord (Season 1) = Light Novels 1-3
Overlord (Season 2) = Light Novels 4-6
Overlord (Season 3) = Light Novels 7-9
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai = Light Novels 1-5
Rascal Does Not Dream of Dreaming Girl (Film) = Light Novels 6-7
All of the above have multiple novels that aren't yet covered. Very many novels in some cases.
For ones I haven't figured out yet:
Baccano!
DanMachi Sword Oratoria (Spinoff)
Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?
Durarara!!
Full Metal Panic!
All of these light novel series are available to purchase in English (or soon will be in the case of Rascal). I didn't look up stuff like Bofuri since it's not licensed yet.
Wow Maple slow down let some power ups for everybody else.
Did saw the LN power explanations and of course that Maple found the super rare synergy between two secret bosses of two different areas. The Devs probably have a Scotch bottle with "Maple" written on it.

Full Metal Panic stopped releases in English very quickly. There's four of them and the last one collects two of the original Japanese ones. The first three were in the first series of anime and the fourth one makes up The Second Raid. The new season (Invisible Victory) is made up of books that didn't come here and ends without closing the story. It'd be nice if they finished the series with another season and translated the rest of the books...
Note: Tokyopop did the first 4 books, which probably explains why they didn't go further. Twelve Kingdoms was also Tokyopop.

JNC picked up the license for Full Metal Panic so the books are going to be translated at least.
Average abilities was pretty free with their interpretation of the light novels. They skipped a lot (basically the first volume except to flash back to it once or twice), Big chunk of the second and third while rewriting how a lot happened, and rushed through the fourth.
I was pretty surprised how much they changed. I guess it would have taken too many episodes and they wanted to reach that end battle. Also I hate that mascot they felt the need to add. I dunno. I liked it in a general sense but it was a not great adaptation.

I haven't read them yet, but the ending of the anime set up something that has me really curious about what happens next.
The world possibly being a far future Earth, and the dragons are searching for leftover nukes.
The one that most surprised me on that list is that Devil is a Part-Timer has over twenty. And the anime only covered two.

There are 13 Baccano! novels currently in English (well, 13th in April, as was said). There are 22 in Japanese. The anime covers like 4 of them I think?
Anyways, my wife and I started the Wallflower last night and got a pretty quick explanation for some of the weirdness: it's directed by the Excel Saga guy.
if you have funimation access, the infinite dendrogram dub is pretty good
I really dislike dubs in general, honestly - i'd much rather watch media in as close to the original form as possible. Esp with anime, there's just something about watching the VAing, and the emotion they put into things. Dont quite know how to put it - but it's very very rare i like a dub, let alone like it better than the sub (I think Howl's moving castle is the only one i point to)
Edit: Oh god, he's got animal ears and human ears now. That's horrifying
whether you like dubs or not, they exist. but obviously people with a preference either way will seek out the form they like. I've never ever liked the whole subs vs dubs debate

ok
Like no shame if you do enjoy dubs or prefer them? i just like watching stuff as close to the original production as possible - if i actually knew Japanese (rather than a super-half assed understanding of it from watching far too much anime), i'd be watching stuff with Japanese subs if i could. (I watch basically any media with subtitles, just the way my brain works. Bad subtitles are the worst though, Seed Destiny on crunchy roll had some really badly timed ones)
But yeah, if dubs are you jam! Sweet! i dont get it, but i dont need to! you should do you!
I find that for comedy, the difference in language efficiency makes preserving the timing of jokes a lot more difficult. Even if you don't understand the language, vocal posture conveys a lot of punch if the animation is designed around it. Drama is easier to translate

but Darkness is definitely the best of the 4
I only feel bad for Kazuma because he died nobody was sad about it then he got roped into a pyramid scheme
Megumin is surprisingly endearing, and much cooler looking than I expected once she takes her hat off

I love how the devs now ask:
On the second boss fight, Red Shield guy puts it the best:
MAPLE: "I reject my humanity, Risa!"
Some top tier reactions.
Ivalice! Well, not really. Still very close.

Baccano! is being published in English as well. I glanced at Wikipedia and it looks like the 13th volume is getting released in April.

Wait, there are 13 volumes of Baccano!?
The anime does not cover the whole series.
Yeah but I want another season that covers the escape from Alcatraz spliced with the modern day cruise ship hijacking.

I figured, but that's still a lot of material after what I had th ought was a completed story.

They do but some get it a while after
Really outside pick, but the record of lodoss war also had an amazingly good dub for the time.
Samurai Pizza Cats and Ghost Stories for that unique energy.
plenty of great ones
and lots of decent ones
