My first response was "lol holy shit GW, fuck off" but then I looked at the website and apparently a box of Intercessors costs sixty goddamn dollars so it's marginally less ridiculous than I initially thought.

But also holy shit GW, fuck off, $60 for intercessors?

Messing with some resin parts for the first time. Gotta say, not really a fan. Especially since I can't use plastic cement or plastic glue. The only nice thing is that the rigidity of the material makes it easy to drill holes.

Original Ghaz with his fur coat is kinda cool, but that back banner has some unfortunate iconography in there.

I ordered some models for sisters that were finecast/resin. The Canoness, a necromuda dude to use a inquisitor from FW, and a preacher.

The Canoness was...fine. She was made
For finecast so aside from some flash, it was ok.

The FW dude was easy. He was only a few bits and went together no problems.

The preacher I got was metal. He came in a old style cardboard clam. Fuck yes.

That's good to know. But thankfully I didn't have to use power, just a pin vise. Seriously, easiest time of making a hole for a magnet.

Space Wolves rules preview is up and it's just alright.

Exploding 6s on unmodified hit of 6 in combat for the assault doctrine.

A stratagem that gives a character exploding attacks on an unmodified hit roll if 4+.

The stratagem that costs 0CP and gives a cp when I kill an HQ is interesting.

Also got litanies and a relic for Rune priests that seems fun.

Overall so far feeling pretty meh. Veteran intercessors seems like it could be cool.

And Ragnar gets an absolute ton of attacks but without being able to deep strike or use concealed positions I have zero interest in him and will just stick with my thunder hammer, storm shield, and jump pack HQs.

That's using a strategem and a super-doctrine that's only active after turn 3 and we're still talking a str 6 2 damage weapon, doesn't seem too crazy really.

  • Options

Its probably more like 15 with out the doctrine. It is so crazy good. It can do a lot of damage. Throw in some wulfen around him, some other buffs. He can probably kill most anything he touches. But at the same time he has no transports outside of impulsors and repulsors. He is a foot captain. Just a good one.

Having a huge amount of some what nasty attacks is still pretty crazy. Doesn't mean he is good. Just crazy.

If anything he will be very difficult to bog down in swarms of enemies.

I remember the battle of the 2l in 2nd era where my brother took Ragnar and a squad of troops. As this is where I did the proto autarch I remember taking a swooping hawk exarch with the web of skulls and moonsaber. They went toe to toe with Ragnar and neither could wound the other. But the rest of the armies were wiped out

I was initially super stoked for the new orks/sw box, but the more rules I see for Ragnar and Ghaz, the more I'm tempted to just grab a talons of morkai box at my local shop instead and just wait to grab a ghaz or Ragnar.

There were rumours it would be a while until they got released separately. You’re probably looking at the same time for the Eldar stuff to get their own release and then some more considering what’s currently going on in the world.

I know the various flavors of Eldar are not popular armies as compared to Orks and space marines so I feel that's why it took so long but then what is going on is happening so rapid changing hour by hour

So I guess Ulrik didn't get an updated character sheet in the new PA so he wont have access to litanies.

They are also adding thunder hammers to intercessor sergeants. Do they even make thunder hammers for intercessors?

I also think I'm going to continue to have an AdMech battalion running with my Space Wolves for cheap CP, the doctrines just don't interest me enough.

There's plenty of other ways to get Thunder hammers though: you can get them from other, previous versions of Space Marine sprues. The Assault Squad frame has one for instance. You can also buy them from a bits store, or mail order 3D printed ones.

edit: Obviously the better way to go about it would have been to include these options in the Intercessor sprue, or a specific Primaris Weapon Options sprues. But you don't have to go buying the various Chapter sprues if you don't otherwise need them.

One thing to note is that since regular Marines are very gorilla esque in the fact they have huge fucking arms is that their arms fit primaris just fine. So if you have Thunder hammers from old kits you can just slap those on.

Played a match last night against my usual gaming buddy.. I think I've won every match we've played for like six months, so I brought a real soft chaos/tzeentch list vs his salamanders (1500pts). Red corsairs battalion with a sorcerer w/ jetpack and a disco lord, a fateskimmer + 3 burning chariots, and a supreme command detachment with a lord of change, daemon prince and changecaster. I hadn't played with my disco lord or LoC before, so I thought it'd be fun to see what they do. We were playing goonhammers modified maelstrom card thing, which I've been told is very close to one of the chapter approved game types.

I keep reading about how LoC's are capable of taking on knights, but I'm not sure how... his squad of aggressors beat the shit out of old chickenman. My daemon prince cleaned up a lot of intercessors before being smashed to goo by whatever the new primaris salamander character is.

He tabled me turn three, and I don't think I killed half his list, but I still won 16-13. He claimed the "moral victory against chaos", so it's all good

Fun game all in all... I really hope they do something to make undivided daemons a thing...monofaction daemons are just trashbags.

I just finished fully magnetizing two Warhounds and two Reavers, which brings my total Adeptus Titanicus model count up to... a number that is very embarassing, considering I don't actually know anyone else who plays.

It's weird seeing how the Warlords were very intentionally designed to be fully magnetizable, but the other Titans were not.

It also makes me wonder where they're going to go for future releases since all of the currently existing Titans have been released. All that's left are a few Knight variants.

I recently read an interview that said the models for the Reaver and Warhound were debigulated by literally measuring the 28mm scale models with callipers and entering the numbers into a parametric modelling package. So they work exactly the way the big versions do.

...because dragons are AWESOME! That's why.

I read that article too (it's got some interesting stuff for anyone who is interested in Titanicus or getting some history in the Specialist Games department), but it's weird how the designer made changes to make the Warlord fully magnetizable, but only made partial changes to some of the other titans, and none on the rest.

Also, I love that "debigulated" is the unofficially official GW term for scaling fullsize Titans down to AT size.
