Maybe I just want a L3-37 movie about an angry socialist female droid

Magneto. Has a point, let's be honest here.
I, an intellectual, simply stopped watching Star Wars, thereby resisting the Disnification of all media and rejecting the idea that it is my duty keep punching those tickets "because it's Star Wars"
So uh, my players killed a few billion people. whoops
Oh are they playing Stellaris? Or Sins of a Solar Empire? Or Stardrive? Or Starsector? Or Stardrive 2? Or GalCiv III? Or Star Ruler 2? Or Master of Orion? Or Master of Orion 2? Or Master of Orion 3 (god I hope not)? Or that Master of Orion remake that was pretty ok?
Wait, you said only "a few" billion.
Tell them to get back out there, they can hit break the trillion mark, I believe in them

I mean in those games you're an entire empire getting those kill counts.
We got a much better bang for our buck.

It’s 9995 sek now and I could’ve sworn it was 11k before.

Nah I am kind of joking. We did level up but not directly because we killed the planet. In this game you level up after you complete a big enough mission or amount of content.

"leveling up" in Lancer is represented by getting "Licenses" to access new mechs/weapons/equipment
so narratively in game, the Mega-Corporation whose planet we killed literally like space emailed us a physical computer chip/doodad like "thanks for containing that outbreak here's some blood money"
it sucks! I might have to smash the license chip and decline the level up
I can't do this because I really want to get into a different mech so I actually enjoy combat, but I am thinking about how my character is going to deal with this. Maybe I'll retire the character and make a new one.

A friend of mine writes an interactive megaman x thing. In the aftermath of one of the fights, it was very nearly decided to forego one of the boss weapons because of how much of a piece of shit the source was. They did start seeing a therapist at least.
The therapist ended up dead when Dr. Doppler kicked off the events of MMX3.
It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

nothing says Mission Accomplished like half the party considering whether their characters would just quit, actually
My recommendation is whatever you can find in stock from everyone gearing up to WFH.

My wife and I are kind of getting into it, still don't know what we're going to do re: shifts.
I need to have a dedicated shift of like 3+ hours to review filings without losing a lot of progress from interrupted flow.
She's on the opposite end and can't be out of radio contact for like, more than 90 minutes during the 8-5 since she's in marketing, and her workload right now is entirely COVID-related insurance publication so there's no advance warning.
I told her I'd watch our 19 month old from 8-5 and just do a 6-11pm shift, with the understanding that I'm trying to squeeze 8 hours of work into that time. Realistically I should only need 3 or 4, which gives me some down time on the end.
I'll have to respond to some inquiries during the day but I think I can mostly get those done while on shift with the kid, or should be able to ask for relief long enough to take care of things.
@SummaryJudgment 8AM - 11PM is rough. Doubly so when 9 of those ours are with baby.
We’re super fortunate that my company is being incredibly accommodating, Mrs. Deebaser company has basically shut down operations (which gives her a lot of breathing room), and neither one of us is gonna miss a paycheck. Still, she’s pretty much done with all our shit.
This is going to be a rough couple of weeks. Good luck!

Still has a feeling of good chunkiness/discreteness that Endless Space doesn't have, and Stellaris is missing it too

It's so cute tho
Look at this shit. What the fuck are you doing, kid? You’re not laundry. Get a job.
I got a Logitech C920S. Works fine and was cheap. The Logitech software is equal parts useful and irritating.
I probably would have picked something else for streaming in hindsight, but as a normal webcam it seems perfectly adequate.
