Am I alone in feeling like every page of GC involving Kat and technology for, like, years has felt vaguely to overbearingly ominous?
I hope when it comes to a head, it's not in an unfixable nightmare disaster sort of way.
...there I came up with a real post to resolve this unread post issue.
Does Kat even know how the ether is reacting to the growing worship of the robots? Coyote was created out of the cumulative belief of people. If that is what's happening here, Kat and what Kat is in the ether might be two completely different entities with different aims and desires.
Yeah, being able to mentally communicate with each others with a possibly super loud creature that can interfere with normal communication won't be handy at all.
Bina, you may be a hybrid heart monster but that just turned you from cold to freezing.
So in Never Satisfied, killing your familiar turns you into some kinda were-hybrid of whatever animal it was. So if that guy accidentally zapped his hamster familiar, he would turn into a big pudgy were-hamster.
Kinda hope this happens.

The husk process isn't totally clear. I don't think the other lady killed her familiar, a character just said "Your familiar would have been a goat, right" or something to that effect.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

I haven't truly delved into the archive but you're somehow "consuming" your familiar which would seem like an act more intentional then accidentally killing your familiar.
But then it just happened. Yet hamster guy seemed convinced the familiar would be brought back only to have wolf detective start becoming a husk. So only other thing is broom girl may have done something to the wolf or really it is that easy.
So either this is way the heck more common in which case why isn't it common knowledge or something funky is going on in this town causing a large amount of husks to appear and then be purged from this particular town.
I really need to learn the names of these characters.
X=animal/object + Y=gender/job is not a good system for labeling characters.

Maybe it's the act of casting a spell at your familiars. Perhaps they are limiters over an individual's magical power

The forums have been screwy like that for a little while. It seems to only happen with some threads and not necessarily the same threads for everyone.
