Glad it turned out to be a good game. Clemson is still an incredible team and Lawrence is going to be a monster next year with this chip on his shoulder. LSU was just on another level all year. Joe Burrow was likely already the #1 pick, but there's no question he's going #1 now.

While I agree it would probably be the smart thing to do at #1 (from what I understand the LSU offense is somewhat similar to the one Drew Brees runs with the Saints), we still have plenty of time for NFL scouts to be stupid at the combine and various pro days. Plus come on, it's the Bengals, they aren't quite as inept a franchise as like the Browns, but they aren't that much better either.

Nick Rolovich, previously the coach at Hawaii, has taken the WSU job that was vacated by Mike Leach.

I typically have very little faith in the Bengals front office to do the right thing, but I doubt even they can screw this one up.

I'm just sad that the team no one took seriously or gave any kind of a chance lost, like why all the hate on the Sweeneys? He's only ever been a huge asshole with a made up chip on his shoulder, come on media.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

I bet he didn't even thank god for delivering them that loss.

Mark Dantonio just quit from Michigan State.

Guess he finally realized he was fucked over the alleged recruitment violations the NCAA had on him.

Fickell supposedly turned down MSU partly because he and his wife had concerns about the "campus culture."

Made bet with my friend (Michigan fan) that Mark Dantonio would be gone from MSU (without firing) before the 2021 season. Made that back in March.

Made another bet today that Luke Fickell would stay at Cincinnati. 5 minutes later it was announced.

Even when he's winning this Michigan fan is losing.

Because The doesn't have enough sexual abuse scandals, two former players have been indicted on charges of rape and kidnapping:
Former Ohio State players Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint were indicted Friday by a grand jury on two felony counts of rape and one felony count of kidnapping. They face up to a maximum of 33 years in prison if they are convicted on all counts.

Both men would also be required to register as sex offenders if they are convicted, Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien said in a statement.

Riep and Wint are scheduled to be arraigned in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas on March 6.

Wint and Riep were charged with rape and kidnapping and arrested by Columbus Police on February 11, and were dismissed from the Ohio State football team the following day. Both players posted bond – with Riep's set at $100,000 and Wint's set at $75,000 – following their arraignment on February 13. Per the terms of their bond, both Riep and Wint have been ordered to stay away from each other and the alleged victim, are prohibited from any social media communication to or about the victim and must not commit any violent acts.

ADs are reportedly preferring an 8 team playoff when the current deal expires after '26. Five major conference champions and top rated Group of Five get auto bids, two at large teams selected by the committee.

I'm not sure what I think about this. It's nice to have a formal path for non-GoF entries, but I find it hard to imagine many situations where there are 8 teams with a genuine change of winning the title. It's not even a sure thing there'll be four such teams most of the time!

Schedules are such disparate bullshit that this is the obvious correct thing to do. Well, actually 16 teams is the correct thing to do with the national title always on New Year's Day and at the Rose Bowl, but whatever.

There is also a smaller majority for playing the quarterfinals on campus.

I really haven’t had any issues with just 4 teams except for the year UCF won the natty despite not being invited

But even with that being said expanding the field is great!
