I'm sure there's a good logical reason why that snakegirl has boobs.
The devs swore they weren't going to bring bake Snakemen in the rebooted series as fans inquired about one of the few aliens from the original not in the new games. Snakewomen however were never ruled out.
You know what's actually pretty great? When I auditioned for (and recorded) Torque in #ChimeraSquad, I didn't know that she was a snake. I am nearly certain that omission was purposeful, because if I had seen that she was a snake, my read, as well as many others I'd think, would have been very different. Sometimes you don't need to know absolutely EVERYTHING about a character, b/c you can easily end up unwittingly boxing yourself in due to your preconceived ideas. All that said, it was a masterful omission, in my opinion.
Also...the shock on my face when I realized......priceless
I feel like the "Slithering!" voice line ought to have tipped her off.

Are we not talking about Gears Tactics? I've spent 30 minutes in this game and haven't even left the settings. These are by far the best settings I've ever seen in a PC game. After years of having no idea what bloom, ambient occlusion, and dynamic shadows are this game just explained everything to me in 2 minutes in the settings menu with real time examples.

There's been some conversation about it in the XCOPS thread. I honestly think it's surprised people a bit. It certainly wasn't on my radar, it looked like a cheap cash grab, to the degree I was even aware of it. It's getting pretty phenomenal reviews though, especially with XCOPS somewhat rocky reception.
I could probably justify it if it was $20-35. Definitely looking forward to hearing more about it. It seems the customization is pretty granular and the interface is very user friendly?

Sounds like the settings in recent Ubisoft games. They all have visual examples of each setting.

Can I get my Digimon Cybersleuth saved data from my Vita for the steam version? I know it had cross save with the PS4 but I can't find anything about it with steam and I don't want to start over though it might be best since I haven't played in like 2 years.

It's in the Xbox Game Pass for PC, which you can get for a dollar if you are subbing for the first time. If you have to actually pay the full price the subscription is like .. 5 dollars. So as long as you finish it in less than 4-7 months, it'll be within your budget. Of course they also phase out games but there's fair warning and I'm not sure if they'll ever phase out the Gears stuff since that is made by Xbox Game Studios.
First game of 2020 beaten, and that's Ancient Enemy.
It's good. Actually got kinda tough in the last world or two, and required me to start using all the single use potions and items I had been hoarding all game. I just started throwing everything at the final boss and it felt great.
After having enjoyed Gears Tactics for a bit now, I can see why 2K Games shoved XCOPS out through the door the weekend before; it would've been killed if it came out after.
I'm a fan of the XCOM series, and I went into Chimera Squad knowing full well that it was a cut-price, spin-off of the main series, and I still remember well the last time Firaxis tried that shit with Civ: Beyond Earth.
They kept repeating themselves until blue in the face that guys, this is not Alpha Centauri but it fell on deaf ears and their Civ V recolour was treated harshly as a result
So I'm pretty forgiving of the bullshit/bugs that are present in XCOPS. Knowing Jake is out there working on XCOM 3 keeps me calm.
Gears Tactics on the other hand should be hailed as a masterpiece of how you handle a game franchise in a different genre to which it became popular from. It warns me on startup that my 1080 drivers have compatibility issues with the game, but then proceeds to run with everything set to Ultra buttery smooth, never once falling beneath 60 frames, and more often than not letting me use my fancy g-sync monitor and getting over 100. It eases shooter fans into the game by removing the nerd base-building stuff of XCOM, and putting you straight into the action in the tactics section of the game. But for people who enjoy playing pretty princess dress up with their troops in XCOM, there's a whole host of customisation, down to the type of metal your gear's armour and weapon is made out of, with worn/battered variants of each type. (I have a heavy gunner sporting a whole suit of chrome armour and a shiny chrome mulcher gun).
Oh, and it's a prequel. So people like me who weren't really concerned about the plight and drama of walking fridges with guns can just enjoy the game without baggage from the franchise. Worked great for Resident Evil 4!
Unrelated to the above, but any arachnophobes present may want to try Kill It With Fire: Ignition. When someone told me it's a game about overreacting to spiders I immediately imagined torching a house to ash because you spotted a house spider in your kitchen. AND IT IS EXACTLY THAT.

I know this isn't necessarily the right thread for it, but I wanted to ask if anyone's been having any trouble with Steam lately?
The last few days whenever I try to make a purchase, I click the "purchase" button and it just turns into a "working" button and.... nothing. No messages, no errors, Steam isn't frozen, I can go back or move to a different page from checkout just fine. If I leave it there just... nothing happens. It's only been the last few days, so I'm not sure if it's a load issue that's temporary, or a problem on my end.
I had something like that happen a couple of days ago. Loaded the cart, clicked purchase, waited a minute or so while nothing happened, clicked 'back' and was told that I couldn't buy what I picked because I already owned it. When I looked, I now had them and the money was deducted from Steam Wallet.
The only real solution is to submit a support ticket and take you six month ban.

Oh.... Huh! I didn't realize it, but the purchase does in fact look like it went through. I had tried to purchase Streets of Rage 4 and assumed it failed. But it's in my library and my purchase history indicates the charge went through. Weird.
I guess I'll just chalk it up to weird-ery for the moment, and hope that I don't have a ban incoming?
So thanks to generous @Antoshka, I have been enjoying Chimera Squad this week. It is freaking great!
It is buggy, and it was even pretty crashy until I updated my video drivers. And the capstone mission of the Sacred Coil investigation is some hot bullshit (do not do that investigation, rightmost on the screen, first!) It's pretty easy on normal, except for the 5% of missions that aren't.
But it's also charming, well written, and really boils down XCOM's bareknuckled one-more-turnism into a smokable drug. The overmap stuff is minimal compared to the regular XCOM geoscape, which is fine. And you are intended to get attached to your Dirty Dozen squad of loveable agents rather than hurling waves of disposable troops named after friends, family and forumers into the fray. The breach mechanic is fun, and saves all the endless scooting forward on giant XCOM maps living in dread of popping a Thin Man pod and losing a couple squaddies.f
Good times. It doesn't replace XCOM, but it is a really nice parallel diversion with a 30ish hour campaign and an amazing price tag right now of only $10.
Or free? Come win a copy!
Thanks again to Antoshka! Really enjoyed this one.

Like a pufferfish warding off a predator, a snake woman's breasts expand instinctively when danger is nearby.
