Soldiers surrounded the Caracas headquarters of television provider DirecTV, owned by AT&T, on Friday after a ruling by Venezuela's highest court ordered the "immediate" seizure of the company's facilities and equipment.
The Supreme Court ordered the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) to "take possession" of all property and equipment used in the transmission of DirecTV's services -- which account for 45 percent of the subscription TV market in Venezuela according to official figures.
The court said the armed forces would help secure the assets.

The Texas State flag is a great starting point, but there are several opportunities for improvement:
* Make the Star smaller
* Reverse the virgin white/red stripe to the chad red/white
* Add dates from the 18th Century
* Add an initial so people don’t confuse your state flag with another one
Please add to the next release

Article says DirecTV had 45% of the paid TV market. My guess is after the socialists are kicked out and Venezuelans have money again, those dollar-a-month subscriptions turn into fifteen dollar-a-month subscriptions turn into fifty dollar-a-month subscriptions.
Bel and I don't remember ours at all so we've basically made up new ones through the years. Whenever we want to win a trivial argument or ask for something silly, it's "this was in the vows, I get to pick dinner on Thursdays"
