Onirim (#5) is a free to play solitare card game that is an adaptation of the physical game. I think solitaire fans would like it as a game only takes 5-10 minutes and there are achievements to try for and a score mode that makes it replayable. You can also unlock the first expansion by logging in with a free Asmodee account. And there are two other expansions which cost 99 cents each.

    I quite enjoyed it.

Yeah I will give da2 that. Even if I loathed half the characters, at least they elicited a reaction. Dai somehow managed to make varric boring

Enjoying it so far but might have to dock it some points for being a game in the franchise without an opening scene where a POV mech gets blown up.

Those MechWarrior intro FMVs were so iconic in their time.

The Mechcommander one was my favorite. <3

@Steel Angel (or anyone), BATTLETECH has improved its tutorial a bit since launch, but it's still pretty poor. It leaves out key information (esp. withdrawing from battle and the eject button), and dumps a bunch of other important info on you in a text wall at a time well before you need it. If you hit any hurdles, want some starter tips, or need advice on a campaign mission please feel free to hit me up or visit the BT thread.

I bumped down my DA2 difficulty to easy and just treated it as an ARPG.

Worked fine for me. Don't remember 75% of it, but it was fun enough to be a snark Hawke.

That reminds me I need to progress my BT Career run some more. I'm still trying to track down UAC/2's so I can plug Pixie in to a Marauder for full-on headhunting.

That being said, she's taking lots of trophies in her current ride (a King Crab with AC/20+++ and Gauss Rifle; so she either takes the head or drills a hole in the body).

I haven't played any of this month's games but I was poking around and the top negative reviews for Stygian claim that it is unfinished and the game just ends without resolving the plot or several quest lines.

Apparently the developer just stopped working on it to do other games.

My biggest problem with Battletech is that I can't run it worth a shit. And getting a new computer has now met some financial delays.

No small part of me is a tiny bit frustrated that a strategy game doesn't run as well on my machine as Prey does but at the same time my machine is old and slow and old.

There are reasons I'm playing this only now despite backing it on Kickstarter. Trying to play it did not go so well on my old machine.

A while ago I did a contest alongside EVO where people inadvertently chose MUGEN characters to fight in a virtual tournament for fabulous prizes. It was incredibly dumb! But I had fun. Since then, everything has blown to hell and EVO (along with everything else) is pretty much canceled anyway, so I thought now is the time to bring a little cheer by starting up the esteemed, highly prestigious 2020 Fucking Sucks Cup.

Hey, speaking of Humble Monthly, the extra game from a while back that was released on Steam and retroactively added to the bundle, A Short Hike, is really good and I highly recommend giving it a shot both if you haven't yet, and are interested in a lighthearted platformer with no combat or dying, which also has a neat artstyle, that runs on a wide variety of hardware (even my venerable C2D Thinkpad), and also as an aside I just signed up for a new internet service provider that charges me for every complete sentence I type on a webforum.

Itch.io just put out a 744 game bundle. Yes, seven hundred and forty four.

Looks like a mix of indie TTRPG’s and PC games. I saw Bleed 1 and 2 and Oxenfree on there, which have to be worth a fiver on their own.

More State of Decay 2! Or, Where Did All These Juggernauts Come From?

We start the night by sending Jazz and Madican out on some casual business: go loot some supplies, patrol the area, etc. They deliver some supplies to a group in need, and then almost immediately get a radio call from a stranger in distress at a gas station. So they skip over there, murder a bunch of zombies, but arrived too late. The distressed stranger is now a disassembled stranger. Ah well. We tried. Almost before we can finish rummaging through his pockets (hey, you would do the same!), we get yet another distress call from someone. We rescue that person and return them to their home enclave, deliver yet more supplies to a group of allies... and briefly consider recruiting one of them, as it seems he is a skilled electrician. For now, though, we hold off... but we do make a mental note of this. Finally, we stop by the local library and loot a shitload of textbooks, which will improve some skills (like Madican's computer skill), so that's useful. Jazz also learns a new skill, which kind of adds to her cool factor. Also I want to point out that Jazz is rarely content to quickly kill a zed. Almost every time, she first lops off both of its arms and watches it flail around for a minute before decapitating it. I think she has issues...

About this time, Mal's stupid #$%*%! broken quest pops up again so we run through that for the umpteenth time. But... holy shit! This time it works. It completes properly, we find the big stash of drugs, we bring them home. Iolo makes a comment (too fast to screencap) about how she hopes it's worth it, and Mal promises Iolo first pick of the pack. Iolo is... surprisingly excited by this, which give Mal cause for concern.

After that, Mal and Madican stop by the house of a hostile enclave and eliminate them without any fuss. On the way back home, they find a cargo van near some warehouses, so they hurry home, park our modded truck, and hike over to the van. There they fight off several hordes of zeds and bring the van home. Rubycat, our auto mech, immediately gets to work modding the van and soon we have one bad-ass ride with 4 seats AND 9 storage spaces (or 10, I forget now). Sweet!

We are alerted to the presence of a couple new traders in the area, so Pixie and Rubycat take the new van out and go meet these traders. The first one has an insane assault rifle with a 150-round clip and we're super tempted, but then we notice it weighs 22.5 pounds and just... no. We do buy an ammo press from him, though, which will enable us to craft 5.56 and 7.62 ammo, both of which we have trouble keeping in stock.

The other trader has tons of crazy weapons, too, but nothing we really want so we move on. We go help another enclave, murdering a bunch of zeds along the way, then go turn in another bounty at the bounty broker... but getting to him requires dodging around four goddamn juggernauts in one small area. WTF? Another distress call comes in (someone wants us to find their lost friend), which we handle, but that involved walking into a [scripted] trap of an *insane* number of armored zeds. Fortunately, Pixie happened to have a whistling mine handy, so we set that off and ran ... all the zeds gathered around the screaming mine until it go boom. Mental note: carry whistling mines regularly. We were planning to go see about taking out a plague heart, but we took a fair bit of damage in that fight, and our van is full of supplies, so we just head home. We'll send Karoz out plague heart hunting... next time. Or juggernaut hunting. There are 3 of them right around our base now, too. They're multiplying like rabbits...

    ---

    Kill counts:

    Karoz 935
    Pixie 913
    Mal 680
    Rubycat 314
    Madican 165
    Iolo 128
    Jazz 73

Ok after many shenanigans it turns out that dell would take two months to send me the computer I ordered so I cancelled that.

Then found a great local Aussie store that makes premade PCs that my friend vouched for

Then figured, what the hell I’ll splurge. Long story short sometime next week this will be the pc I’m getting:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with Wraith Stealth Cooler, Gigabyte B450 Aorus M Motherboard, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 OC 6GB graphics card, 16GB Team T-Force Delta RGB 3200MHz memory, 256GB ADATA XPG SX8100 SSD, 2TB Seagate Barracuda hard drive, Cooler Master Silencio S400 Mid Tower Tempered Glass Case

Also got this monitor since my old one is vga (I’m ancient)
    ASUS TUF VG27AQ 27inch, 1440p

So yeah I kind of treated myself and went well beyond what I intended to get, since this all started with my just planning to get a word processor

Very excited and impatient to get it delivered.

So does anyone have any games they recommend? I do all my gaming on Xbox, and I have gamepass ultimate so I’ll have access to everything in that library. I’m mainly looking for PC only games or ps4 ports

I’m so excited to play some total war tho, I haven’t played any since the original Rome when I was a teenager

Also any recommendations for a budget Gaming keyboard and mouse setup? I don’t really need like FPS online competitive precision, just something comfortable and will work well with total war and the like
