My band Bog Wizard just put out a music video and are set to drop a full length album the beginning of next month. We've come a long way from the shitty little EP we put together a few years ago, I'm super hyped for this release.

Dirt Woman is a desert doom outfit, landing somewhere between the haunting vocals King Woman and Sleep's extended workouts. Definitely not breaking new ground but a good summer album.
If you guys dig your Romantic atmospheric one-man blackgaze with programming stuff then this might be for you. The music is catchy AF but the vocals are a little monotonous.

im putting this in spoiler because its not hesher material but i found a eurobeat remix of gimme gimme gimme and it had some kind of extraordinary synergistic power
They seem to imply they're moving on to the 90s next? I can't think of many memorable 90s movie soundtracks in this same vein, though. I'm probably missing something obvious.
Also, the Rope Sect full-length delivers the moody death rock as their earlier EPs promised! This is not even close to the best song on it but the only one I could find a video for.

Haunt released their new album a little early. I had preordered it on bandcamp on May 1st and thought he was going to release one song every few weeks or something, but then on Friday he posts on Facebook that he was putting it out early "with folks not having a lot to do because well the state of things."
Speaking of olden metal sounds, this collaboration between Chris Black (of Pharaoh, High Spirits, etc) and some dudes from the Finnish bands Steel Mammoth and Pharaoh Overlord is quite awesome, almost like a NWOBHM sound with some Hawkwind psychedelia in the mix.
After listening through the new Lorna Shore some more I have to say I'm really into it, certainly one of the best deathcore bands at least that I'm into.
It's a good one, and I like that they take on a heavier aspect than a lot of other Gothic/death rock bands. Reminds me a big of Babylon Whores or of course Fields of the Nephilim, but with more of a stoner doom foundation.

So there's a rhythm-based shooter using metal as its soundtrack called Metal: Hellsinger due out next year. The trailer is enough to get my interest; looks like a combination of Crypt of the Necrodancer + Doom 2016. And they got Mikael Stanne and Björn Strid to contribute vocals (among others), and it sounds like Stanne's vocals in the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5oK8_guCLI
The music is eh to me; definitely seems like something that would fit the game's mechanics, but not something I'd listen to outside the game. Still, I look forward to seeing more.
Definitely no Volition, but damn does it ramp up as it goes. Reverie onward is pretty dang great, and the lyrical theme all-around is hella brutal and beautiful. Breautiful.

Anyone have a read on the politics of Paysage D'hiver? Looks like they put out a split with Drudkh a few years back, which is enough to make me want to stay away. But the new album sounds like it will be good but obviously do not want to give my money to Nazis.

Seems clean from what I can tell. Its a side project of Darkspace. Band just uses your general darkness and 'winter is cold' themes.
If they have questionable politics, they keep it away from the band space.
As an aside, this is a pretty interesting record from a new Russian trio. Doomy occult rock. Video is goofy so it's much better just to minimize that window and listen

Thanks. Weird, I could swear when I previewed that last night it was fine. Web-gremlins! Fixed...for now.
Also, @Kakodaimonos you just ruined my entire Summer with that video and it's not even Summer yet!

And this US band is back with another atmospheric BM escapade...their last album was good and this demo is also absorbing.

Anyway, seems like another solid Haunt album. If you want some traditional melodic heavy metal, that's what they're all about.

And speaking of Chris Black, Dawnbringer just dropped some 'long lost' posthumous album out of the blue.

I forgot this song was the 3rd part of the "Feverish Trinity" EP, which had Feverish, Desperado, and this song.
Feverish was kind of a banger, too!
